We booked the guesthouse through booking, but no one was there when we arrived. Nobody could be reached at the telephone number provided. (within the specified check-in time) We stood at the door for about two hours until booking could offer us an alternative. We would have liked at least an apology from the guesthouse. Too bad

The house on the hillside is simply beautifully located, I felt like I was in the jungle, it's in the middle of the forest, very quiet. Each room has its own theme and is furnished accordingly, extremely lovingly. The house was recently renovated in a very imaginative way and is lovingly furnished with high-quality materials. The owner and her lovely little daughter are extremely kind and helpful. The breakfast was very rich and delicious. If I'm ever in this area again, I'll of course stay in the house on the slope again.

Back to the 60 years, 80 steps but at least barrier-free, you think about it, a family with a stroller can't be reached, older people can't reach their rooms, the apartment is only recommended for fit people. On top of that, massive parking problems.

First of all, the 80! Steps that you have to take to get to the house are mentioned. That's tiring with a lot of luggage. The rooms are OK. Since the shower hose was broken, about as much water sprayed next to the shower as from the shower, but unfortunately the water only drained moderately. The hostess is extremely friendly, breakfast was served in the room as there is no breakfast room. Unfortunately no terrace either. The price-performance ratio is not quite right.

The landlady is very friendly. The guesthouse can only be reached via a lot of uneven stairs. We carried our bikes up to the guesthouse; there was no way to safely store them downstairs, even though we were promised this on the phone. Our room was very small, as was the bathroom.Drinks and some food are also available to buy at the guesthouse. But the prices are steep. But the landlady tries very hard.Another addendum to your answer,To say that again very clearly. When I booked the room with you by phone about 4 months in advance, you assured me that there would be a lock on the garage and that we could lock our bikes there.Instead we had to carry the bikes and luggage upstairs. You simply didn't keep your promise, even though you assured us on the phone that the garage would be locked until we arrived.

For a cold room with a bathroom in the corridor and without breakfast, 90 euros is a steep price, avoid if possible

It's very quiet except for the street. If there are roommates on the same floor, it's noisy, but acceptable. If you like rustic old, this is the place for you. Small guest kitchen (almost) on every floor. More details on the website.

Ms. Peters is very friendly and helpful. Since we didn't recognize the parking bay as such in the darkness, the owner personally greeted us at the entrance to "instruct" us after we had contacted her by phone. After more than 6 hours of driving, she kindly explained to us again the locking system, which was previously unknown to us. Thank you again for that. The guesthouse is very centrally located, is non-smoking accommodation and that's a good thing because of the lots of wood and the location (steep slope in the forest). The signage in the house is very creative, as is the ambience of the rooms, including the bathroom and kitchen. (Birch branches as a wardrobe, among other things - cute) The bathroom is very small, but you can hardly turn around in the shower. The bedroom had countless spiders and spider webs (the inside of the door and window frames, the ceiling all around and over the bedside table). If the spiders had been fatter, hairier and "knee-jointed" I would have been more likely to sleep in the car. So my other half transported them all into the cold (catch, open the window, and goodbye). Given the location, I certainly understand that spiders are making their home, but the room was not cleaned or checked for this. (All three window views are green. Pure nature.) The outside staircase is difficult. 80 steps, irregularly high/wide, partly dilapidated, in one place secured/reinforced to a tree with tension straps. Another 30 steps up to the room, i.e. when you get to the top the woman whistles like a steam locomotive. Maybe the flyer should point out the 80 steps on the steep slope. (And not only: Not suitable for people with walking difficulties.) Yes, it says "House on the Hill", but with "Lion" I don't have to go through the lion enclosure. The third night we had to move to another room because it was raining in our room. Water damage from the roof. Ms. Peters took care of it immediately and gave us another room. There were no spiders in the "jungle" and no smoke detectors either. (It was dismantled.) The two rooms we saw have free hot drinks. Unfortunately the best before date has expired (2018). I think it's a shame to give such a bad review. Everything is good as long as things go well. But if at some point someone For example, if you don't adhere to the smoking ban and the old house starts to burn, "Holland is in distress". Most people do not suffocate or die from burns. And the fire department also has to climb the 80 steps with a hose. And the staircase secured with tension belts reinforces my very uneasy feeling about this guesthouse. I wish Ms. Peters every success in realizing her dream of transforming the old house into rustic accommodation. I really hope that she sees my criticism as an opportunity for improvement. And before something unforeseen happens, such as a fire or a slope including a staircase.
