The youth hostel is more of a school camp; a room for a family is not available from February to the end of October. I have now given up and am going to a hotel. Very unfortunate.

Log cabins were not well maintained, bathrooms smelled of urine. Something has to be done! Otherwise everything was great. Staff very friendly, food very tasty.

Great youth hostel with a great location to the town, bus stop and beach.Vegetarian food was really good and the children also enjoyed it.There were a lot of families with children there and there is a lot for children to do in the youth hostel.

Small, family-run youth hostel. Located about 3 km from the south beach, easy to reach via a cycle path/footpath that leads directly past the house.Excellent cuisine that fulfills all wishes. Great breakfast buffet. Dinner with vegetarian and vegan options!The rooms are clean, functional, great for families with a children's playroom, cinema, large outdoor area, bicycle parking spaces with charging options for e-bikes.

Stay really pleasant. Wooden house for 2 people and 2 people is completely fine. Beds were already made, otherwise everything was clean. Facility clean and tidy, just like my impression of the communal showers. Hostel was completely booked. Service staff, cook and hostel father are North German (cool) friendly. Once a week stick bread, barbecue and bus tour in the US bus across the island. However, that was very boring for the younger kids.Parking spaces, playground and large soccer field/beach volleyball on site. To the south beach about 30 minutes on foot, otherwise bus (hourly) or car in 10 minutes (parking fee)

It was very nice with you, service was always nice, even the chef cooked something differently if you didn't want to or couldn't eat it. Thank you again for that. Rooms were very spacious. We felt very comfortable with you and would love to come back.

The youth hostel is very clean and the service and food are highly recommended.The rooms are no longer the newest and the drying room is a bit too small when it is fully occupied, otherwise everything is to our complete satisfaction

Overall the stay was disappointing. We had to wait a long time for the keys, the toilets were very dirty, there were spider webs everywhere in the room, the bed was very worn and there was a lot of dirt in general. In addition, the staff was unfriendly, the food resembled canned food and it was very cold in the house. Unfortunately, overall the experience was not pleasant.

I was lucky enough to have a shared room all to myself :)The youth hostel was well attended by families with small children and youth sports teams, so it was lively. The price-performance ratio is really good. Everything was clean, if not super modern. Breakfast great, dinner completely okay (also vegetarian and vegan options if you request it). Bus stop to the south beach and Puttgarden right in front of the door.More than okay as accommodation on the pilgrimage route :)Proximity to Radden's ice cream is a big plus for me!

The shower and toilet smelled bad, there were toenails on the bed, there were scribbles all over the beds, and the cleaners simply swept the dirt under the bedand my friends had rats in the room. The best thing was by far the location!

The JHB may be a bit old, but the dedicated and great team more than makes up for it. The host and his team are extremely attentive and friendly. We were always treated politely and courteously and received prompt answers to our questions. Thanks to this fantastic service, we had a wonderful stay and always felt well looked after. Of particular note is the excellent buffet prepared by the talented chef. We can't wait to come back soon.

The rooms were typical of a youth hostel but very messy and above all clean. The staff was super nice, even though we celebrated there with a whole university team. I was also very happy with the food

The stay in the youth hostel was great and was perfect for us as a group. The staff was very nice, the food was really tasty, the sleeping accommodations were well heated and comfortable and the bathrooms were always clean. We would go there again at any time and recommend the youth hostel to everyone, regardless of whether they are a small or large group!!!
