The landlady isn't exactly friendly, you feel like you're being watched or monitored. Rooms are old, with some broken furniture and smelly - probably due to the old carpet. Cleanliness is generally poor. Bathroom and toilet in the stairwell - you can hardly move in the bathroom from the large one. Breakfast was fine - fresh bread rolls every day, but the selection depended on the landlady's mood .Shortage in the house .(No WiFi - would be removed for guests) If you want to enjoy your vacation without stress and arguments, this house is absolutely not recommended.

There were problems booking the accommodation, which is why we didn't come. Unfortunately, the communication regarding the cancellation fees was also very unprofessional and rude.

We (family with two children) spent our winter vacation here in 2023. The guesthouse is located a little outside, but in such a way that you can easily reach the center within a 10-minute walk. It is correct, the guesthouse does not have WiFi. But that didn't really bother us - we were on the slopes all day and when we came back we took a shower and then went to the town to eat. Afterwards you were comfortably exhausted and only wanted one thing: to sleep. The deprivation of WiFi was good for the kids and in the end there was also LTE “if necessary”. No reception problems for our three different networks (1und1, D-Netz, Drillisch). Tip: Not far from the guesthouse is the information center with an accessible, heated anteroom and an open hotspot (12 MB/s), where we stored media for our 8-hour return journey. Our rooms were clean and comfortable. It's unusual that the shower and sink are in the room, but the locus is in the hallway, but - hey - it's a guesthouse and not a 5-star hotel. The hostess was very nice and helpful; we had many pleasant conversations. Breakfast was good and calculated in such a way that you could take something with you onto the slopes and not have to buy two Viennese there at a price that made you wonder which of the gondolas you had bought at the same time...Clear recommendation from us!

We relished our stay at the superbly exceptional Pension Wastl-Häustl. I don’t mean to be loquacious, but Frau Wiesmüller was simply delightful.

I booked this guesthouse for my son with his girlfriend and dog. Unfortunately, the friend with her dog was unable to travel due to illness. Thank God, because the room was more than small. The shower area is separated from the room with a curtain. No real bathroom. Some of the furniture was already broken. Mini TV high in the corner on the ceiling. We were able to receive the key before my son arrived, but that was the nicest thing. The landlady told my son that he had to have breakfast at seven. At half past seven there was a knock on the door. We didn't really like her.

It is an older residential building that was somehow intended to be turned into a guesthouse. Therefore, e.g. B. the shower in the middle of the room in the corner and the sink just on the wall next to the bed. Warm water comes from the right side of the mixing lever in the sink and on the other side in the shower. The toilets are outside in the hallway. The rooms are located on the central staircase. The doors are thin. On the first floor you can hear the conversations in the breakfast room almost word for word. If someone takes the stairs in the morning, the night is over, so earplugs. We had booked 2 double rooms and a single room. One of the double rooms had the beds on opposite sides of the wall, i.e. separated. Very annoying for a couple. There was no talk of this before. An exchange with another room that was booked as a single room but had a double bed was refused. That's how it's booked, swapping isn't possible. The breakfast is ok, rolls, cheese, cold cuts, etc. It's just not a big hotel. You can get along with the lady of the house. She likes to help hikers with tour tips. It has its own routine and if you adapt, it works. If not, the discussion ends very quickly. Oh yes, there is actually NO WiFi. The statement was: “We bought this”. For guests who search for hiking tours on their cell phones, want to send pictures of their vacation, search for beautiful destinations in the area via Google, etc. a real hurdle and out of date. When asked, the reason given was: “Well, why would you get rid of WLAN?” You can ask for an explanation.

The lady has different faces. I got the worst of it. Apparently they're just doing it while waiting for their daughter. The times for such pensions from the distant past are probably over. And at this age it should be over. Life is short...

We visited the Wastl Häusl in Reit im Winkl in mid-January 2022. We received a very warm welcome, arrival and departure were uncomplicated. The apartment had a separate entrance, was spacious, super cozy and rustic. Everything was always clean. The landlady and her husband were very nice, they were always available to answer any questions or further concerns. The bread roll service was impeccable, fresh rolls were delivered to the front door every morning. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would love to come back!

Very well maintained guesthouse. The room was clean and spacious. The breakfast was plentiful and good. Good quality and very nicely presented. The hostess gave us a friendly welcome. She was also happy to tell us places to visit. We can't say anything negative. We would be happy to come back.
