We slept in the barrels, see pictures. It's a really cool experience, especially with children, and I can definitely recommend it. Clean washhouse is right next door.Price performance is great, it's the second time we've been here. If we go to Heidepark again, it will be a third time.

The barrels are really cozy and nice and warm even in colder temperatures with the infrared heating!It's perfect for two people and you still have enough space in the entrance area for luggage and provisions.The sanitary building is right next door and free parking is also possible next to the barrels.Check-in was quick and friendly.We were there to visit Heide Park, which is only 5 minutes away by bike.

Actually there is nothing to complain about: within walking distance of Heidepark Soltau, where we wanted to go -> perfectSuper clean, modern nearby sanitary facility. The sleeping barrel is equipped with thoughtful details, such as a shelf on the bed, a second window for draft, etc. (and apparently quite new)...There was seating and a table for each sleeping barrel, which was also perfect. However, for our taste the barrels could have been a little further apart. The pebble surface was a bit of a shame, but it had the wonderful advantage of finally being able to grill with coal again. In addition, the pebble base prevents you from constantly dragging dirt everywhere (to the barrel or medical supply store).The price was also completely reasonable.For us, the space was just a bit too efficient (campers can look forward to individual plots demarcated by hedges), so we missed a bit of the charm. For us, this is a good option if you need overnight accommodation for 1 or 2 days, but not for a holiday stay.

The barrel had everything you needed. Mattress, heater and fan. Of course it's just a place to sleep, not a luxury hotel room. If you can be happy with it, it's a great alternative to a tent.Price wise at 27 euros per night it's ok. Added to this is the amount of water you used when showering. Here you are billed to the exact second. One cent every 2.5 seconds.Parking is right in front of the barrel if you are driving. The Heide Park is right next door

It's a very clean hotel and the staff are very friendly, you can go there if you want to go to Heidepark, for example, as it's not far away but you can also do other activities, a great place
