Clocky and cozy. Quiet location in the middle of the heath. Service and food are excellent and the staff are always friendly and helpful. Prices are absolutely fine, even cheap for this area. We'd love to come back!

Beautifully located in the middle of the Lüneburg Heath. We stayed there with a larger hiking group and I felt very comfortable there. We were warmly welcomed and the breakfast was particularly good, with the realization of special egg preparation requests. I would come back at any time.

The food is very tasty and the employees are also very nice.The rooms are clean and carefully managed. The bed was very comfortable and had no bed bugs as many find this to be a problem. I took a look into the kitchen and saw that the work was done neatly and hygienically.LG Sebastian

Yesterday we were treated to Heidschnucken bratwurst and homemade fries. The best fries we've had in a long time. The homemade buckwheat cake was also heavenly. In addition, the staff is extremely dog-friendly. Kudos to everyone…

We stopped there yesterday after a hike through the nature reserve.That was a nice end to a nice day.There were only friendly people on the terrace, the service was friendly and helpful, the home-baked cake and coffee were delicious.

I was there (with a dog) at coffee time... buckwheat waffles with ice cream and cherries on the terrace. The service was very friendly, cheerful and attentive. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting. You can feel comfortable as a guest here! I will come back.

We went to the restaurant today and had dinner there. I would especially like to highlight the excellent service, the beautiful and quick presentation of the dishes. The food was incredibly delicious. The portion was huge and beautifully presented. Thank you for the pleasant evening!

Yesterday we were at the Landhaus Eickhof for the third time and we will be happy to come back there again and again for an excellent meal or coffee and cake in the garden.The very good cuisine, the friendly staff and a familiar, rustic atmosphere in a place where time seems to have stood still convinced us from the start.

The accommodation was very nice for rider and horse! Idyllic rooms with kitchen, living room and bathroom in the 5-person apartment, which were cleaned daily. Very good food in the restaurant with friendly staff. The surrounding landscape around the hotel is a dream! A ride in a different direction every day for 6 days. We riders can only recommend it! The Landhaus Eickhof is located in the middle of the nature reserve and is a very suitable starting point for hikes. It is run by the Ehlers family in a family atmosphere. Accordingly, the staff is friendly, nice and attentive. The rooms in the hotel are functionally furnished and very clean. The breakfast is great, freshly prepared and varied. Plastic waste is avoided. The restaurant is cozy, the atmosphere is great. The menu is not huge, but varied. The food is excellent and very freshly prepared. Many products come from the region (my personal favorite: Heidschnucken bratwurst). The portions are generous and the price-performance ratio is right. I would like to give six stars for this excellent stay, unfortunately only five is possible.

Beautifully located and very tasty!The cake is baked fresh every day!It was very busy yesterday, but we were warmly welcomed and served straight away!The food was very good, large portions and ice-cold drinks.We are already looking forward to the next time

I can only recommend everyone to give this “restaurant/café” a wide berth. If I had read the 1/5 reviews here beforehand, we would have saved ourselves a lot of trouble and a relaxing Sunday afternoon. What was offered here cannot be surpassed in terms of unfriendliness and impudence. A completely overwhelmed female waiter. After a long hike in hot temperatures through the heath, we (2 adults, 2 children) waited almost 40 minutes for the bottle of water we ordered. “You're lucky that you're still being served, this is actually the reception stop!” I'm then asked to take my cell phone off the table so that the tray can be put down. After I did that, the comment was: “Congratulations, you did a great job!” My look must have spoken volumes, at least I was directly and aggressively asked “what the problem” was. When I presented my complaint in the kitchen, the boss had already spoken to the waitress. Starting the conversation with me with the words “I heard that you were unfriendly to my employee” was certainly not to be understood in the spirit of service-oriented conflict resolution. The waitress commented on my arrival to the boss with the words: “There's that guy, you can hang out with him!” To be honest: I've never experienced anything like that in service! Attempts to excuse the kitchen - there is so much going on and the cellars have a lot to do - are of course in no way acceptable given the behavior shown. We noticed other guests being gossiped about (while they were still there). For the sake of completeness, it must be mentioned that the waitress apologized to my wife (I had already left) and we didn't have to pay for the water - but if we did If you look at the other reviews here, unfriendliness and excessive demands unfortunately seem to be part of the program! Absolutely underground and not worth a visit, so you don't have to be treated like that.
