The facility could be very nice, unfortunately the manager himself says that they no longer have money for housekeeping. No more fresh towels, dirt everywhere. Absolutely not recommended.

The Landhaus Höpen is the perfect place for a holiday on the edge of the Lüneburg Heath. We, that is: parents with children and grandchildren, were almost 30 people and spent a great family weekend there in late summer 2024. We chose the “Arrangement” category for the booking. We particularly liked the hospitality in a small hall where we had our breakfast and dinner on the two days. A little away from the general hotel and restaurant business, our group was able to celebrate privately and informally without having to feel like we were disturbing other hotel guests. The hotel team knows its craft. The appointments worked wonderfully and on the way to dinner there was a cozy bar area for an aperitif. We all really enjoyed it. Another plus point is the quiet location of the country house. Away from busy roads, it is located at the end of a driveway, i.e. without through traffic, on the edge of the forest directly on the heathland. An ideal place to start a hike or bike ride in the surrounding area. We enjoyed these excursion options and then ended the afternoon in the sauna and swimming pool. The hotel is a little “outdated”, as they generally say. Our group was still very satisfied overall.

Hotel is very old and it is incomprehensible how 4 stars come fromThe room was apparently clean but only superficially. Shower quite calcified, telephone on the toilet completely dusty, door frame from above also completely dusty, mold on the window seals.Not for dust allergy sufferers.The beds were pretty shabby and caused a bit of back pain after the second night.Breakfast was below average for a star hotel!!!! Cheapest sausage and cheese, baked rolls, scrambled eggs with no taste, even the bacon was pretty bland. Here I have to mention that the coffee was pretty tasty.Visit to the restaurant was only so-so...Schnitzel tasted a bit strange and fries were counted out, no other side salad or decorations on the plate. My wife's salad was so covered in sauce that everything was overshadowed by the sauce. The bread that was served later didn't help much either.The service was good. The ladies were very nice and attentive. Unfortunately our wishes were only fulfilled after the second question.The location of the hotel is very fantastic. Many hiking trails and opportunities in a beautiful landscape.Conclusion......We will definitely come back to this area but definitely not to this hotel.

We wanted to spend a few nice days in the heath and decided on the Landhaus Höpen, which made a very nice and cozy impression in the pictures. Unfortunately, there were problems with the room when we arrived, which was promised to us in advance. Now about the hotel, the rooms are not cleaned properly and therefore the wallpaper looks very stained - a big disadvantage in order to go to the wellness area you have to go through it walk the entire yard. Tiles are very slippery and extremely slippery. The breakfast buffet is nothing special. Where the hotel scores points is with the staff being very friendly and helpful.

Sad but true. 4 stars pah, 2 stars no more. Everything, really everything, is getting old. Room not really clean, my husband has a house dust allergy, absolutely not recommended for such people. We reported this and the dirt was moved from one place to the next. In the stairwell an insect graveyard. Spider webs. Drinking a cappuccino outside in the sun at the clean table, none. The waiter brought him to the table and didn't even wipe the sandy, autumn-covered table. An absurdity. That's what normal common sense tells you. The food was nothing special, neither to the eye nor to the sense of taste. We are in the old country house, which didn't make a well-kept impression from the outside. The swimming pool is open until 11 p.m., the lighting was very dim. When we arrived at 8:45 p.m Even after pressing the light switch, nothing got better. In addition, the floor in the pool area was very slippery.Before I forget, there was no minibar either.The way this hotel presents itself on the internet is a disgrace.In our opinion it is not recommended and it is a shame as we could have done more with it.

It's actually sad that it's hard to judge the rooms! We had a deluxe room for €205.00 plus €11.00 for a small dog! We have never experienced anything like this, dust everywhere, bathroom curtains dirty, insects squeezed out on the wall, dirty ashtrays on the balcony. The room was cleaned 3 times in 9 days (superficially). Actually you should have left, but the location of the hotel is fantastic and the staff in the guest room made a great effort, always friendly and helpful! The breakfast was good, but unfortunately no sausage from the butcher (perhaps from Netto) for 4 stars? The dinner was good, but still the same offer after 8 days! All in all a transit hotel without any pretensions!

We stayed at Landhaus Höpen in September 2024. This is the first thing that compels me to write a review of a hotel. The hotel is miles below our expectations. With three stars it would be overrated. Totally getting old. Nothing has been renovated for many years. The bathroom is an imposition. The toilet hasn't received any real cleaning in all these years. Silicone joint would have to be renewed. Sink ready for the container. Dust everywhere. Carpets haven't seen a vacuum cleaner for a long time either. Mattresses way too soft. My husband had back pain since the first night. Breakfast is ok. However, there are no bakery rolls, just baked ones. Even the bread is baked. One of the worst hotels in the last 40 years. No separation between the balconies or terrace.

We were here just to celebrate the wedding. Buffet soup, starter and dessert were very tasty, as well as fries with currywurst. I wasn't impressed with the wedding cake, it was a bit dry so I'd rather use ice cream. Location is beautiful and romantic.

We ate in the restaurant 2 weeks ago and it was really delicious! The portions are decent. Side salad was one of the best I've had so far. Very lovingly prepared. Service was great. One of our companions is gluten intolerant and vegan and was immediately given a recommendation as to what was possible. The bread at the entrance came with a vegan salsa instead of butter. Very attentive!

A really great location right in the heath, very tasty breakfast that leaves nothing to be desired and very friendly staff.But unfortunately, and a big but for us: it wasn't very clean!Our black dog lay next to the bed under the nightstand and came back full of dust and cobwebs - she did some work on it. Cobwebs on the room door, in the bathroom, in the room itself…The breakfast room was full of dust - the wooden strips, under the heaters - not very appetizing.And the biggest problem: the heat. It was around 20 degrees during the day and it cooled down quite a bit at night. But not in the room!You couldn't leave the balcony door wide open because there was a shared balcony with 4 rooms - so max. slanted. But you had to close the curtains because tens of people could have walked over the communal balcony. So either sleep on the presentation plate or in the sauna... unfortunately the dirty fan didn't help much either.And as you can read from other reviews, the bathrooms need to be renovated... I'd better not go into that any further.

4 stars - that's different!I have never written a review before, but now I feel obliged to warn potential guests about this hotel!Everything looked so great on the hotel's website, the reality was different!Our 4-star comfort double room for 175 € / night! was located in the “Small Country House” outbuilding.We had a view of the farm yard with garbage cans, canisters, pallets, empties, etc.The chair cushions in the room were stained, the wallpaper was poorly patched, there was mold on the bathtub and the toilet funnel probably rarely saw a toilet brush!The floors were dirty. It was also interesting that the lady at the reception didn't ask at checkout whether everything was to our satisfaction and whether we had a pleasant stay.I think she knew why...

The hotel is getting old and unfortunately no longer 4 stars.Price-performance ratio is no longer right.Needs renovation everywhere. Especially the bathroom.The dinner and the friendly staff are worth highlighting.
