We had lunch here (Argentine pepper steak). The food was very, very tasty. Gladly again ❤️Update:Two days later we ate here again. Incredibly good!! And the owner is a super nice woman! See you next year! 🥰

A nice, still traditional hotel, with a friendly hostess.Check-in was easy from 5 p.m. We quickly agreed on the breakfast time and we were able to move into our rooms. The rooms are simple but so much cleaner! The cleanliness is particularly noteworthy - really large shower and the towels were also changed and toilet paper refilled after the first night. On the first evening we had dinner in the hotel restaurant! Here too we were served four really, really tasty dishes! We were all more than full - it's almost a shame that we were full at all! The service was also very attentive and regularly asked if everything was OK!The breakfast also had everything you need for a good start to the day! Visit on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 in the eveningThe Gasthof Engel is located in the 'Unterdorf' of Bühlertal.The kitchen serves Baden cuisine, regional and seasonal specialties and Silesian dishes.I wanted to request a table in advance during opening hours - unfortunately only the mailbox was answered and I then spontaneously tried without making a reservation.I was welcomed on site by an employee and was able to sit at a table in the beer garden.The employee handed over the card and requested the first drink requests. Contrary to the inn's website, the 'cooking recommendation card' was missing from the menu.If you offer this online, it should also be visible on the menu.An order:> Rose spritzer 0.25l for €3.80>> my wish 'lovely' was fulfilled - thank you> Beef broth with herbal pancakes for €5.20>> delicious and homemade herb pancakes - good :-)> Beef roulade with potato dumplings and red cabbage for €22.50>> unfortunately after placing my order, the employee came to my table and informed me that unfortunately beef roulade was not possible today - a shame :-(>> Suggestion for improvement: the kitchen should communicate with the staff in advance about which dishes may not be available that day, which can always happen, but this should be communicated to the guest when the order is placed :-)> Grilled salmon with parsley potatoes and vegetables for €23.50>> the vegetables consisted of, among other things, green peppersSuggestion for improvement: green peppers can make the food very bitter and why not just use a different color yellow, orange or red peppers?> Lemon sorbet for €7.90>> this came to my table with a thick plastic tube that was bent, so you couldn't get anything out of it because of the kink - just put the whole tube in like that :-)> Ramazzotti on ice 4cl for €3.50> Espresso for €2.20Summary:The staff seemed very uncoordinated and hectic to me - one employee sometimes ran very quickly, which seemed very hectic and caused unrest.In between, my glass was empty and the appetizer was cleared away at my table, here without asking if I would like something more to drink - it was only when I came to the table again that the empty glass was noticed and asked if I wanted another drink.When clearing away the soup or with the main course, the staff did not ask whether I liked it - this should ALWAYS be done, otherwise it gives the guest the impression that the inn doesn't care whether the food is good or not wasn't that good.There were deductions due to:> the missing cooking recommendation card - here the boss or the staff should definitely check the menu if you already offer something like this online so that it can also be viewed on site.> because the staff had a lack of input from the kitchen due to the lack of main courses> Ask whether the guest enjoyed it> Employees/staff are too hectic and cause unrest for the guests >> Calm and calm are the better advice here ::-) well-intentioned advice********************Towards the end I had the opportunity to speak briefly with the owner and she agreed with the points I raised. I would be happy if this was put into practice on the next visit.In terms of price, the Gasthof Engel is well positioned in the middle range.The Gasthof Engel still has potential for improvement and the various gears have to mesh together. :-)Wish the operator all the best until next time :-)

Everything is fine here. Good food and beautifully presented. Definitely recommended.

We only ate here. The dishes tasted very tasty and the drinks were great. You can also pack up whatever is left over. The team is also really nice.

Great experience in this hotel restaurant. Comfortable and quiet room.We came with our motorbike and we were able to park it in a secure location.We had dinner there. Fair prices and tasty dishes.To do again!
