We (72 + 75) were guests in the holiday home “Seitz” in Bayerisch Eisenstein Bahnhofstraße 11 for 14 days in mid-June 2021. There are a total of five holiday apartments there. We spent two weeks of vacation there, which were wonderful, extremely relaxing and very harmonious. The Seitz couple are extremely friendly and helpful hosts without being intrusive, with many a good tip or hint. (excursion/sightseeing/food)The property is PURE NATURE, the entire large garden is well maintained, but the last blade of grass is not cut off with nail scissors. The pool was in TOP condition every day and is actually larger than it is shown in many pictures on the internet.Due to the enormous size of the property, there is a very pleasant calmsince on one side there is a kind of “city park” (accessible through the garden door), and on the other side Bahnhofstrasse is correspondingly distant. All holidaymakers present were a perfect fit for this quiet, relaxing situation. Our holiday apartment No. 5 (1x double room + 1 x 2-bed room) was large and was handed over in a very clean, well-kept condition. We had a terrace with appropriate furniture, a porch swing, sun loungers and a pavilion that also belongs to this apartment. There is only direct sunlight on this half of the garden and terrace in the later afternoon, which was ideal for the first 8 days (parasol available), as we experienced the first heat wave of 2021.The kitchen is fully equipped, nothing was missing!Waste separation is taken very carefully and seriously, but Mr. Seitz is happy to help.Parking spaces for all holiday apartments are available on the property.A sauna is also available - after consultation with the landlord. There are four pubs/restaurants on Bahnhofstrasse, 100 to 750 meters away from the holiday apartment, so they are all within walking distance (3 minutes to 10 minutes). We ate in all of them very well, with good home-style food and good value for money, and in the “waiting room” at the train station we even ate a high standard (from 5:00 p.m.).When we were there, certainly due to CORONA, there weren't very many vacationers out and about. That's why three restaurants were only open from Monday to Thursday until 6:00 p.m. (!), and Friday to Sunday until 8:00 p.m., usually with an expanded menu. However, this will probably change seasonally. The service staff is extremely friendly everywhere(!), 90% of them are Czech citizens with no language problems. There is not a lot of infrastructure in Bayerisch Eisenstein (Czech border at the end of the town). There is a “lovely” shop in the town “DIE KRAMERIN” about 500 meters away (garden door) where you can get the “most necessary things”. The SPARKASSE also has an ATM 50 meters away.Otherwise we recommend Zwiesel, 17 KM e.g. EDEKA supermarket or REWE.There is no “Halligalli” holiday on offer here in Bayerisch Eisenstein. Many kids aged 10, 12 or 14 will find a holiday there “caustic”.But if you love nature, want to hike and are looking for peace and quiet, you will find ideal conditions. We were very satisfied with our 14 days. We are planning to go on vacation there again.
