We had a great school trip and can highly recommend the youth hostel!The food was varied and very tasty. The facility is well maintained and the program items were great fun.

For me it is a very nice place. And considering it's a youth hostel, the rooms are comfortable and clean.The food is very tasty, although I found that the portions are too small for some people.Two negative points that lead to a deduction of one star: the windows in the rooms do not have mosquito protection and the caretaker could sometimes be friendlier.Nevertheless, I would like to come back.

The JH is very beautiful. The food is very tasty. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Actually 5 stars, but the phone reception and internet are very poor. For this reason only 4 stars.

In itself it is a nice place, with a nice beach and enough nature in the area.However....If you want to stay there as a guest, you should expect a very stressed, unfriendly and not very communicative team.Caretaker/boss - whatever - super rude.The beds are not recommended for older/larger people because they are too small and too hard.Plumbing is standard - the drains in the showers could still be emptied.Food is not for everyone, but it is edible.Rental bikes are NOT suitable for roads - but well, they certainly don't specialize in that.I'm happy that I don't have to pay for my stay here myself.

It's really bad, I was here on a school trip. First of all, the rooms are not good, there was so little space in the six-person room and the shower came on randomly during the night. In the four-person room, every motorhome camper could see into the room. In the other four-person room there were things on written on the wall. the location is ok but the food felt the same every day, nothing tasted good. We rode bikes that felt like they fell apart after a second and the chains came off on many of them and all in all it was very bad here and I'll never come back here

A super nice, clean youth hostel, right on Lake Köthen.I had booked with breakfast, it was a buffet, a good selection of fruit, rolls, sausage, cheese and honey and jam.Room very clean, slept very well. I would happily recommend it

Despite the high season, we spontaneously got a spot on the campsite and also got help repairing our bikes so that we could continue our tour on the Cucumber Cycle Path the next day. Thank you for that!

Great facility, bungalows sparsely furnished but completely sufficient. The entire staff is very friendly.One star deducted because of the food. The buffet was often empty even though a lot of people still wanted something, sometimes no new cutlery or crockery.

A super idyllic place with beautiful nature and wonderful peace. The youth hostel and the area around it, including the bungalows, are ideal for families with children, but the older generation also feels comfortable. Clean sanitary facilities! At least in the summer season there is a good breakfast buffet on site, but I can't say anything about the cold season. Canoe rentals for wonderfully relaxed tours are available on site. Etc. Etc. All in all: it was nice there.

For God's sake please don't come here. The food is rancid and horrible. The rooms are poorly divided, especially for classes. The volleyball field is too close to the water, which is why the ball splashes into the water with every 3 throws. There is no such thing as disco here. The service isn't the best either, the caretaker here is the rudest person I've ever seen. Definitely not a recommendation.

I don't think I've ever seen such a responsive, organized and polite welcome. Plus the place, the meals are great. I went there by bike from Berlin, everything is cycleable. Thank you for continuing to keep places like this alive in this way.
