The location is easy to reach and is located directly opposite the monastery. The reception, restaurant and everything else is located in the monastery.The room is clean. It's just gotten a bit old. What was really nice is the floorboards and beams. The bed was good but didn't fit in style. The closet was extremely wobbly and didn't look nice. I was a little afraid to put my things in there. The forester's lodge itself is nice but not suitable for people with disabilities or physical disabilities, as an elevator is missing or nowhere to be found. It also turned lugging the suitcase under the roof into a little adventure. Wifi works well but requires a password as it is not connected to the main house wifi. The television was not used. But this would have to be one of the first flat screens. The shower toilet was clean but far from stylish or modern. This functional top. There was no service in the forester's lodge itself. But in the main house it was perfect. Everyone is still young and learning.

A wonderful restaurant. A super varied menu that went well with the season (asparagus).The dishes were so beautifully presented, little works of art.Service was super friendly and attentive.Highly recommended, don't be put off by the prices, they are worth the money.We would love to come back.

Very nice and unique place for dinner. It's been one of the best experiences for me so far. Very nice staff and delicious food. It's not a place for a cheap portion of food but perfect for a great evening with many new experiences.

We were there in December and are still amazed.The restaurant is incredibly beautiful and the real wood fireplace (!) was burning with a quiet crackling sound, accompanied by quiet piano sounds from the speakers.The service was also world class!!!Since we didn't like the wines on the menu, we had the very friendly waiter recommend a bottle that wasn't even on the menu. A real rarity, as he said.We were a little skeptical but went for it.And it went perfectly with our goose leg! Absolutely top class!! Hats off to the young man!The food was also amazing.The plates were always small works of art and that's how it tasted. There's a lot of feeling behind it!Unfortunately we forgot to take photos - we'll do that on our next visit, which will hopefully be soon.An absolute insider tip in tranquil northern Hesse.

Ideal for the “little ones” in the room. Clean, quiet. It is thanks to the historic double box windows that the cold from outside comes in and the air circulates. The only real complaint is that the towels are not only counted, but unfortunately really thin. With a short walk in the morning, not only does the circulation get going, but breakfast is also reached - after all, it takes place in the actual Hotel Kloster Haydau.
