“Beautiful” is the name, but unfortunately the program is not. According to the homepage, open for lunch, coffee and cake, but then turned away with a condescending look on site; It's good if you can live off the tourists. It's a shame, I couldn't test the recommendation made to me.

We booked this hotel for 2 nights via Booking. At the end of the afternoon of the day of arrival, we informed them via the Booking app about our expected arrival time of 7:00 PM. When we did that, we saw that the latest check-in time was 6:00 PM. What a ridiculously early time! I have never seen such an early time. But anyway…We received no response to our message at all. When we would be further delayed due to an accident on the autobahn (ultimately more than 2 hours of traffic jam), we called (before 6:00 PM). It was not recorded, but a message was left. Half an hour later I tried again. Here the gentleman said in a negative tone that I should call when we are in the area (in the meantime there was also a situation with our trailer which caused another half hour delay).We called again 20 minutes away but called back and said they weren't going to wait for us anymore! Zero empathy or offering solutions. Just figure it out. Bad turn from this gentleman who felt supported by German labor legislation and wage costs. He already knew about our delay for a few hours so could have easily come up with a solution. But his conservative attitude is getting in his way.So if you expect hospitality, service and empathy then don't book here.Very unfortunate! We had completed a 16-hour drive and had to look for another place to stay.

No experience unfortunately. Due to a major traffic jam/accident we arrived at the hotel at 11:15 PM. We had booked for two nights. We had already reported the delay around 4:00 PM.We were no longer allowed in. The owner was adamant that nothing could be arranged…. We thought we should put the key somewhere. No, we just had to cancel the booking.I work at a campsite myself and you always try to think about a solution with your guests. That's called hospitable. Too bad, but never again at Hotel Schon.

Beautiful house with outstanding service. We stayed at the Hotel Schön for two nights and had a very clean room with a balcony directly towards the Rhine. The breakfast was very loving and individually tailored to your own wishes. Particularly noteworthy is the loving and attentive service. We have never experienced anything like this!From the hotel you can get to Rüdesheim in about 7 minutes and have a great connection through the train station without having to spend the night in the middle of the action and therefore in a busy tourist hotspot. For everything together 5 very deserved stars!
