My sincere thanks go to your warmth and exceptional hospitality.The house tempts with mountain views and that doesn't promise too much. You can experience beautiful sunrises/sunsets and a starry sky that is difficult to describe in words.I have grown very fond of this family-run guesthouse and the landlady. Saying goodbye wasn't easy for me.See you very soon!

Guesthouse with the feel of an old school camp. Room as described. I stayed here for one night on my hike (ridge path). The bathroom is comparatively small compared to the room and is reminiscent of a camper van.The hallway and the rooms are comparatively dark, which sometimes makes the atmosphere "oppressive". Unfortunately, the wood paneling doesn't change that. Otherwise, the rooms are equipped with a TV and a small refrigerator as described. There were some drinks in the fridge ("minibar").On the first floor there is a common room and a shared kitchen.Card payment possible (compared to a large number of accommodations on/on Kammweg).

Clean rooms, breakfast ok, nice landlady, the bathroom was unfortunately very small (wet room cell was installed later) but in the complete package it was very nice there.

Very hospitable establishment with nice little rooms. If you don't need luxury, this is the place for you. The staff is always friendly to provide information, the rooms are very clean and the breakfast is completely sufficient 👍🏻

The room was clean. All facilities are present. We had breakfast in the house and it was a nice German breakfast setup.
The location is also good. There are many hiking routes around.

Anyone who likes to travel back in time and appreciates old traditions has come to the right place and anyone who doesn't need anything big will feel very comfortable here. The Schmiedel family is friendly and available to provide advice and support.It's clean, tidy and the price is right.It is a beautiful, rustic guesthouse, with a lot of family flair and warmth.The guesthouse is in a quiet location and after about a 2km walk you are in the Czech town of Weipart where you can do some shopping there on a Sunday. Since I travel by bus and train, the bus connection is also available near Penny and 1 km from the accommodation.To be honest, I have no understanding of some of the special requests that I have read. Everything is there, it's a guesthouse and not a hotel that even offers the possibility of being able to cater for yourself in the cute little kitchen, which is totally brilliant.I'll definitely be back as soon as it's midsummer in Bärenstein again 🤘All the best

Happy with everything, except the shower stall was broken, a sliding door was stuck, had to fight with the door for a while shortly before midnight until it closed... One star gone...
