Hello ! In May 2024 I was in Winningen for the steep slope festival, staying overnight at the Hotel Weinhaus! I was also there for the Festival of Lights in 2023. I felt very comfortable there, very good food in the wine bar, clean, simple room, great location, very tasty breakfast! Everything you need to feel good! Sonja, Achim and team do onevery good job to pamper the guests! Until2025 for the 🍇 vintage, I'm really looking forward to that❗️Until thenBest wishes to Heidi from Braunschweig 🙋🏻♀️ . I am absolutely shocked by the rudeness of the staff and the outrageous prices for absolutely bad food. In addition, the tablecloths were dirty and there was a very unpleasant smell, atmosphere like in a canteen.

A very grumpy service in bath slippers... what a place. Terrace is nice, but better to continue cycling. If you continue cycling, you will arrive at a cozy large terrace with great service. Hygiene was lacking at this “restaurant”. It's been a while since I've been served so poorly... well...

We had come for lunch. Home-style cooking was on offer. The portion of chanterelles was very tasty and very well seasoned.The drinks menu offered many wines from the region and we were very happy with the Riesling we chose.The atmosphere was cozy and prices were normal for the region.

Unfortunately, I don't actually know what the one star should be for. Well maybe for the location in the beautiful, historic old town. But that was it. I didn't notice anything positive there. Exhausted from hiking, we were looking forward to being cool and welcome as guests. Bet six, that was a grotesque misjudgment! An unfriendly landlady with a rather dismissive, annoyed demeanor didn't say "hello" or even "good afternoon", but rather "yes, wait a minute here, the kitchen is closed!" Nevertheless, she took a seat, just too thirsty. Dumb! Horrible wine, cheap and sour, iced coffee white milk mush with no color other than milk white. And then the naughtiest boyish thing: Big, fat lipstick residue on my wine glass. Unfortunately only seen after drinking. When pointed out, the landlady made an inappropriate joke and then collected, no apology, no discount or anything like that... My advice: avoid the holy water like the devil

Were only here to eatReserved wisely - on busy days it is very full and busy.The food was very good - large portions and the service was typically rustic and no-frills - the selection of liqueurs was very fine and recommended - would be happy again
