Very nicely located hotel, right on the Rhine. The ferry pier is a few meters away. The hotel has a restaurant and a lounge. There are enough parking spaces and they are free. There is a sauna and an indoor pool.

First visit here. Room and location ok. Disappointing visit to the bar. At 12:15 a.m. only beer/wine selection... Dishwasher is running, coffee machine is being loudly cleaned, staff disappears without comment. Empty glasses and puddles on the counter. For a second beer you have to look for staff at the reception…. Reason for the poor service: the colleague had already clocked out...... we had a lot of guests beforehand...... and I wanted my colleague to be able to finish work sooner... sorry, but for €128 per night... that's not possible

I had booked a superior double room with a view of the Rhine, which according to the hotel's website made a good impression. …

From an atmospheric point of view, the hotel is well located. Directly on the banks of the Rhine, below the Ehrenbreitstein Fortress.Unfortunately, the hotel is getting old, which doesn't become apparent at second glance when you look closely at many corners and ends. The hotel management's handling of complaints is particularly annoying. From day one, the bathroom in our hotel room smelled like a mixture of mold and a clogged, defective drain. We are now in the hotel for the third day and have not noticed any improvement in the odor. We could not be offered another, new room. The hotel is fully booked - of course we can't check. As a consolation last night we were offered so-called hotel coins for two free drinks. Professional hotel management works differently. Johann König, the well-known comedian, would say: "Man, you can do that better."Nevertheless, criticism should always end with something positive. The breakfast is varied, rich and of good quality. The service staff is competent and friendly. Room service is conscientious, reliable and respectful. The hotel is rated 4 stars. I give the room a maximum of 1 star and only 2 stars overall.Part 2: We were offered another room for the last night, which we took advantage of.On the day of departure we were able to speak to the hotel manager. We exchanged our points of view in a calm, objective conversation and finally agreed on a “comparison”. We received a percentage of our costs reimbursed. To save the manager's honor, it should be noted that he ultimately met with us for a discussion.

This location has the look and feel of a place that was once posh, but is now in decline. During our stay the AC never worked. The desk said that it was out through the whole hotel. …
