Nicely renovated hotel (although the balconies were removed). The food is good, but not cheap. On the terrace you have to eat from the bare glass table; placemats or tablecloths would be appropriate here. Bathrobes are not in the room, you have to get them at reception. I didn't visit the wellness area. Gladly again.

We were actually looking forward to a nice weekend, but the first shock came when we discovered two “to-go food boxes” on the balcony in which the food was already moldy and there was a fly in it. There was also a screwdriver and a used ashtray lying next to it - this was NOT cleaned/tidyed up. The second shock came when I found a snack box with moldy tomatoes under the TV cabinet... I've never experienced anything like that before. I don't even want to know how “serious” people take cleaning/tidying up here. Luckily we're going home tomorrow. In addition, the wellness area is quite small for the number of guests. In the evening there were around 30 used tea cups piling up at the tea bar, which were simply not put away throughout the day, let alone refilled with new cups. The only good thing was the comfortable beds and the breakfast.

Nice spacious and clean rooms with modern sanitary facilities. It was a pity that our room was very hot so that we could hardly sleep the first three nights. Then we were so tired that sleep came naturally. On the other hand, there was no hot shower, not once did I have hot water in the morning. We would have liked a room on a cooler side of the building, but repeated complaints yielded no results. We would have happily paid extra for it without any problems. "We'll call you if we have anything else." Never heard anything even though the hotel was only half full. Apparently we were seen as a bunch of whiners, also about the cold shower. For us this is a reason not to come back.The food is reasonable to good, it varied quite a bit, I wouldn't recommend the Wiener schnitzel to anyone. The breakfast is fine, there is a lot of choice.Service is very friendly.

We spent our last days of vacation in this hotel. Here's a thank you to the loving owners. The food and cocktails are really great. The three of us spent two nights for hiking and wellness at Das Thiers.Per:- overall beautifully designed hotel- Attractive wellness area with pool, large glass-enclosed sauna, enough sunbathing areas and a small outdoor area to sit and cool off- several options for dinner- nice reception staffCon:- the extra bed in our room was outrageously uncomfortable. You could feel the individual slats in your back, so the three of us ended up sleeping in the double bed- There are several options for dinner. On the first evening we went to the American restaurant “Coopers” for a burger. Unfortunately, service and performance were catastrophic. The employees were in a bad mood and the starter was cheese nuggets from the freezer. Burger was good. We also ordered a house wine, which was shown on the menu for 22 euros (1l). When we paid we were then charged 27 euros, with the information that there had been a price change. There were also notices on the tables stating that there had been a price change, but this referred to a wine with a different name and a capacity of 0.7 liters. The waitress still said that we should have known that and only after a short discussion and a call to her boss were we allowed to pay the price that was stated.- Second evening, new restaurant ("Michaelas Restaurant"): We order another bottle of house wine, but it was called differently than in Coopers. Here too 22 euros on the card, this time we were even charged 28 euros. This time there was even a bit more discussion before we were allowed to pay the correct, stated price. By the way, the card there consisted of DIN A4 sheets of paper stapled together - so it could be changed with ease.- Staff listless on both evenings. It gave the impression that they were very happy if they were allowed to drink at the end of the day - we were proactively not offered a second drink.- I personally find just one sauna towel per nose a bit annoying. Even more in combination with a bathrobe for an additional charge- Paper cups for drinking tea or water between sauna sessions were empty on the second day and were not refilledMy conclusion: We were certainly unlucky there too. However, I can't understand very well how the current 4.6-star rating came about - I would expect slightly better service. The problem isn't that something is shown incorrectly on the map, but rather the reaction to it.

We had a renovated room with broken tiles, blocked drains, and a non-functioning exhaust system in the toilet. Unfortunately, the balcony doors cannot be opened by tilting, you can't get any air when the door is closed, and it's cold when it's open. A dead fly under the window, which was already there when we arrived, continued to be there after the room was cleaned. So much for cleanliness.Food in the in-house restaurant was very good. All 5 stars here. We tried dinner in the neighboring American restaurant, but it wasn't for us. Fried stuff isn't our thing, but tastes are different.The two houses are located directly on the main street. Between 6:00 and 7:30 is probably the rush hour, otherwise it is rather quiet.

Spent 5 days there in October '23. In addition to the impressive location with a direct view of the "Wilder Kaiser", I particularly liked the lobby, the spacious wellness area and the extensive breakfast menu. My room was very large, but a bit old. There was only a shower option in the bathtub, which could be a challenge, especially for older guests, due to the high entrance.All in all, recommended!

Rooms very clean, very good and rich breakfast! The pretzels were very good, everything was very good.Super nice staff. The wellness area is small, but definitely recommended.We felt completely comfortable - also because of the “Adults only” from 14 years old. Great, you definitely have peace and quiet.

Unfortunately, the stay in this hotel was not particularly good.The rooms are nice and very clean. That is an absolute plus point. The location is also good for all kinds of activities.But what I really didn't like was the dinner. I have rarely had such a bad meal in a hotel. The food tastes bad, some of it is of poor quality and very stale. For example, an "ice cream dessert with seasonal fruits" is a cheap vanilla ice cream with freezer brandy, whipped cream, ready-made chocolate sauce and 2(!) blueberries.The roast pork had a slice of dried dumpling, the meat was more fat than meat and the sauce was extremely heavy with flour or starch. One evening there was fish with vegetables. Unfortunately, the vegetables were more roux sauce than vegetables. That did not need to happen. Unfortunately a disappointment in every respect, also because good food is very important to me.However, the breakfast is good to very good.Another big minus point is the wellness area. When you check in you receive a handout with the statement "we do not see ourselves as a wellness hotel". However, the wellness area is advertised and must therefore also be evaluated in terms of wellness. In any case, we were not aware before checking in that the hotel does not see itself as a wellness hotel.There is a brightly lit sauna that faces directly onto the relaxation area. Unfortunately, the atmosphere wasn't for us.Unfortunately, I can't recommend Das Thiers, even though the rooms are nice and most of the staff are very nice. There are much better hotels in the same price segment that offer much more.
