Very nice guesthouse with almost hotel-like service. Very warm welcome, everyone takes great care. A small menu is offered for the evening meal. The food is good (family style) and it’s plentiful. We will come back!

I classify the “Grubstuben” as a guesthouse/pension, but some things are reminiscent of hotel service. For example, the room is prepared throughout the day until you return from the trip. The furnishings are well maintained, the rooms are very clean. My bed mattress was rather firmer (that's how I like it anyway 👍) and in great shape, which means: not sagging! Every room has a balcony and nice, tight blinds (even electric 👍). The house is located uphill on a side street, which is why it is wonderfully quiet at night. The breakfast is classically laid out (I would definitely mention vegan if necessary, it won't fall on deaf ears), plentiful and delicious. The hostel people are very friendly and incredibly helpful. Here you can have nice conversations and get great tips for the surrounding area and planning your day. My tip of the day: less than 2 kilometers from the accommodation is the Schonach natural swimming pool, a large, professionally surrounded swimming pool with unheated spring water (wonderfully refreshing on hot days), surrounded by a well-kept lawn with a playground and kiosk service. Entry is free, where else can you find that these days 🤩?! Conclusion: I was very satisfied with my stay!

We stayed in the Grubstuben for 5 days over New Year's Eve. We had a 3 bed room, very clean and well maintained. The welcome was very warm and familiar right from the start. The room is spacious and modern with a great terrace and great view. The daily breakfast was plentiful and nothing was missing!!!! Dinner was also offered, which we were of course very happy to accept and tasted excellent. The rooms were freshly prepared every day and the beds were madeThe hosts were always approachable and helpful.On New Year's Eve there was even the surprise of toasting the new year together. All the guests were gathered in the inn and it was a very nice evening with nice conversations.The highlight for our junior, his stuffed animals were stored in a different position on the bed every day 🤣Conclusion: A really nice accommodation with warm hosts and a great location. We'll definitely be back.❤️

We found the guesthouse on Google Maps during a short vacation and found out by phone that there was still a room available.The room and bathroom were spacious, very clean and in front of the room there was a nice large terrace with a very nice view. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was great and the prices were completely reasonable.We would be happy to book there again if the opportunity arises. Many thanks to the hosts

We had a wonderful week as boarders in the Grubstuben.From the first to the last minute we felt very comfortable at all times.We really enjoyed the loving and tasteful furnishings of the entire guesthouse, the varied, freshly prepared breakfasts and dinners, and especially the warmth of the family!😁The family was always available with one or two insider tips!

Members of our family were guests this week.Getting a coffee is the exception...but it was made exceptionally...drink 2 and pay for 3..Friendliness and attention is obviously non-existent.Customer-oriented behavior is simply missing!We hope that you will adapt this accordingly and not continue according to scheme “F”. We are also commercial and for us the customer is always king!Many greetings from the Palatinate
