Super friendly atmosphere - everything very familiar. We definitely recommend the sausage salad buffet, the slaughter platter, but there are also many delicious things on the normal snack menu. We feel super comfortable, welcome with our two dogs and always enjoy coming here.

We were invited to dinner at Deutscher Jäger and were more than thrilled. We were very pleased by the friendliness, especially towards the children. We haven't been welcomed so warmly with the children in a long time. The children were served first, toys were provided and children's noise was not an issue at all. We'd love to come back. OF COURSE ALSO FOR THE FOOD!! Very very tasty 😌

Great destination for hikers. Delicious food with great service.We still had to wait for our followers (the rest of the hikers) and the chef had already brought the children a portion of red/white fries so that they wouldn't starve. We have never experienced such great service. Little guests are pampered here. There is a great playground right next to the beer garden. The food was plentiful and good.Sanitary facilities were top notch. I don't understand why there were such bad reviews here. Just eat at home if you're so dissatisfied. No host needs such guests!

We visited the restaurant twice. Sat outside once after a long hike. It was nice, the menu and two drinks came quickly after which we were no longer asked if we would like to eat something. Asked twice for the bill and finally went to the counter to pay. Unfortunately, we had to hear the boss's numerous expressions of displeasure several times; the door between the garden and the restaurant was loudly banged shut every second time the boss crossed it. Only 1 star for this stay. Then we drove there again for dinner. The dining room didn't necessarily meet our expectations of ambience; the benches were very uncomfortable. The food was ok - although the spaetzle was probably not homemade. The boss was nice this time - although his loud sales pitch at the next table was also annoying... but still 4 well-intentioned stars. But: reading everywhere that Martin has to cut back, including the reasons, probably doesn't really interest the guest.

Today we were there for dinner as a couple with two small dogs.We were very impressed by the cozy atmosphere, the delicious food and the hospitality of the staff and boss. We immediately felt comfortable.The dogs were also welcome. We'll definitely be back.

To be honest, I'm shocked that there are actually people who even give this a star. I've been to many restaurants in my life, and I'm a person who really has very low standards when it comes to food, but in this restaurant everything from A to Z is bad. Toilets smell like chlorine coming from down the hall. The interior is very dated and could use some renovation. Even from the outside, the restaurant is very run down and is between a company, making it difficult to locate for the standard visitor. In general, the restaurant has a typical clientele of regulars who say unpleasant things to the wait staff. But the horror only hit me when I saw the food. I ordered a schnitzel with fries, I got a piece of meat that wasn't pounded myself, but simply made in the oven and then sold to me for just under 17 euros. The salad came extra, but I'm sure it was also from Aldi or LIDL. In general, as a visitor, you are always annoyed that the boss in the kitchen named Martin has to slow down because he already has 8 stents. He felt like this information was everywhere, there was a sign in the parking lot, on the website, etc. Of course, something like this is tragic, but as a standard visitor, you just want to eat there and not be constantly burdened with this information. Maybe Martin should buy something fresh from the wholesale market and prepare the food himself instead of always forcing this information on the visitor. The staff was nice, I can't say anything bad about it. For me it's a unique thing, if you could give 0 stars, I would give 0 stars, next time I'll go to ALDI and buy my schnitzel there then I'll get it cheaper than at Martin's.
