We came here for a hiking holiday and absolutely loved it. It is a beautiful holiday home, right on the slope, not barrier-free, but incredibly cozy and beautiful. We always spent the first hour of every day looking at the winding garden on several levels and marveling at how much effort and love went into it. The rooms were equipped with a television, which we used, a double bed, a table and a small kitchen corner. The furnishings are more rustic than new or modern, but that's exactly what we found nice. During the days we went hiking, either through the nearby castle park of Altenstein Castle or in Bad Liebenstein or Salzungen. Sometimes we drove by car because the path to the castle from Steinbach was extremely steep and therefore strenuous, but in theory it is within walking distance. If you like it quiet and cozy and/or want to enjoy nature, this is the right place for you.
