Great little hotel. Very well equipped. The rooms are a good size and very nicely appointed - much nicer than other chain hotels. The breakfast is also exceptionally good! And all for a fair price.Great for cyclists as it is located directly on the Lahn cycle path.

Location, location, locationWe booked a double room in September.Given the price of 142 euros, we had certain expectations, but unfortunately they were not met.The room faced the street at the front, which everyone felt like they were driving along.Anyone who feels the desire to open the window because of this noise will have difficulties. The curtains are stubbornly pulled aside on the rod, then the window frame hits the ceiling lamp. The second ceiling lamp hangs above the bed, one bulb is missing. You can look at the version while lying in bed. Industrial style? We didn't prepare a hot drink; there was only one coffee and two sugar sachets. Judging from the inside of the kettle, Lahnstein's water is very calcareous. We found the bathroom nicer than the room. Well, that's a matter of taste, but what's the use of design if the tap produces a thin trickle.By the way, there was a book in the room: Living better with beerMaybe this helped others with the positive reviewWe were glad we only booked one night. The room was clean, the mattresses and the breakfast were good, therefore 2 points.

Upon arrival we had to provide a cell phone number for check-in. call and were instructed over the phone. Room key was in there. So checking in was easy. Nevertheless, it is still strange for me when no "person" welcomes me and explains everything to me face to face, such as where the breakfast room is, when can I have breakfast, what is the passport for the Internet, etc. Everything had to be done can be asked anonymously on your cell phone. Man, I'm a guest. I just don't like that. The room was clean, nicely decorated and I slept well, but I still didn't feel comfortable. Maybe because there was no responsible person in the house. No one was visibly present in the hotel. The breakfast room is in the basement and they tried to make it nice. Still: there are no windows there and that didn't give me a comfortable feeling. The employee, who unfortunately had poor knowledge of German, did her best, but unfortunately it wasn't enough. There was fruit, but sorry: the kiwis were rock hard and we had to sort out some of the moldy blueberries. In our opinion, the rolls were not fresh and extremely dry, which means: I have rarely been served such bad rolls. The assortment of tea bags, all of which were crumpled or worn, gave me the impression that they had been collected from somewhere. As I said: “my impression”I'm sorry, that doesn't work at all.The same employee later prepared the invoice and unfortunately was not informed about the agreed amount.... ???I cannot recommend this hotel for the reasons just described.
