I stayed here with my granddaughters 6 and 9 for 3 days and was completely satisfied. |The price-performance ratio for all inclusive is right. Drinks all day, including wine and beer. …

During the fall break of '24 we were able to spend 4 days/3 nights here with 2 adults and 3 kids (9, 8, 4) for a really nice and, above all, relaxing family vacation for us parents. If you are looking for peace and quiet around the hotel complex, Rhön Feeling is the right place for you. The hotel is located just outside in a small village. We were able to relax perfectly here, away from big city life. We really liked the wide hiking and walking trails, the beautiful landscape and the proximity to nature. If you want to go to the swimming pool (which is included in the hotel price), drive into the next town. The fact that there is no supermarket or similar here wasn't a problem for us, as we were able to enjoy excellent food from morning to evening. At this point, a really big compliment to the chef. We have rarely eaten so well in a family hotel - it can definitely compete with the food from much larger family hotels. We particularly liked the drinks station at children's height; even our 4-year-old was able to pour his own drink. There is also a special, small children's menu at lunchtime and evening, which the kids can also take themselves, as it is set up at child height. The staff was very friendly throughout, whether in the Happy Club or the service. You immediately felt welcome. The rooms are very nicely furnished, were clean when we arrived and have absolutely sufficient facilities. Unfortunately, the sound was very noisy, but this was no longer a problem after the night's rest.In the basement area, where the Happy Club is also located, there is a beautiful, recently completed play area. Furnished with a lot of love, the children were able to stay here for hours. There are several vehicles available for the little ones outside and here too our children were able to keep themselves busy for hours with their hotel friends. Finally - not a point of criticism - just a suggestion: We would have really wished that our two girls (especially the almost 10-year-old) could have taken part in the horse riding offer. This takes place weekly on Mondays and Wednesdays. We arrived late on Monday afternoon and the list was already full for Wednesday. Unfortunately, repeated inquiries did not yield any results. This great offer is welcome to be expanded, especially for older children. Likewise, general offers for older children, aged 8 and over, are welcome to expand. All in all it was a very nice holiday and we are already looking forward to our next stay at Rhön Feeling.See you soon! :-)

We were there for a weekend and it was far too short. It was a wonderful time.Starting from the welcome to the room and all the offers, all around a great short vacation. My son had so much fun with everything on offer. The garden offers everything children need. The indoor areas were so lovingly designed. And the kids club team was really great. The other offers such as cinema evenings or camp parties were a lot of fun for young and old alike. The hotel is super clean and the food is really great. The selection of drinks for the little ones was also very large. And all the employees are very loving. We'll definitely be back ❤️

We spent a wonderful autumn holiday here. The hotel is very lovingly managed and maintained - you can tell that. Everything your heart desires is there for the children: outside playground, vehicles and small animals to feed. The magic forest as an indoor playground offers a lot of variety for young and old.The surroundings are wonderful and invite you to take short walks or even longer hikes. A highlight is a visit to the Bad Salzungen brine pool (be sure to stop by the graduation tower - particularly good for the respiratory tract). We drive home well-rested.Clear recommendation 💓👍🏻🤗

Unfortunately only 2 stars because the price-performance ratio wasn't right for us. We were particularly dissatisfied with the quality and selection of the food as well as the quality of service. This even prompted us to leave a day earlier than planned.Hotel general:Small family hotel with main and annex building. The dining room includes a small play paradise for children aged 2.5 and over and a room for the very little ones with a changing table. In the anteroom there is a bar with table football, billiards and darts. Another games room is located at reception. Childcare takes place in the basement – where else? – with lots of play options. Outside there is a small playground, vehicles to drive around and an enclosure with rabbits and other animals.General hygiene:We found the cloth towels in the public sanitary facilities, which are used by every guest, questionable. The sanitary facilities also don't seem to be cleaned every day; the last entry on the cleaning list was two days old.Room:Our room in the neighboring building was clean and modernly furnished. Cleaning is only done upon request through a sign on the door. Because who wants clean towels without asking?Service:The service was extremely reserved - there was no personal approach and requests were not fulfilled proactively. Enthusiasm and commitment seemed to be on vacation. More warmth from the staff would have been nice. There was no program in the evening.Eat:There was always a buffet at all meals. Unfortunately the breakfast buffet only offered a very small selection. Salmon and various types of bread would have been desirable, but you can't have everything. The fruit platter with great fruits was quickly empty and was not refilled while we were there.Lunch and dinner did not meet our expectations. Examples? Dry goulash with a watery sauce or a thick, dry schnitzel with soft breading. Another day there were two types of pasta with two sauces. With a room price of around €300 per night, we had hoped for more. The hotel obviously still attaches great importance to sustainability. Thursday evening's meal was served again on Saturday lunchtime. As expected, the quality wasn't any better the second time. Another time there was pasta with Bolognese sauce for the adults, who found themselves at the children's buffet the next day. Recycling at its finest!Additional services:We wanted to book pony rides for our daughter. At the hotel we were told to contact Stockborn Ranch directly, which is part of the family business. After several phone calls we were finally able to book the horseback riding. At the agreed time we had to wait another 20 minutes in the cold until it started.Check out:When we checked out early, our feedback was silently acknowledged. We paid our bill as usual and then left. Customer service par excellence! Conclusion:Overall, a nice children's hotel where you pay five-star prices for two-star service. The price-performance ratio is nowhere near right. If you've always wanted to experience how little you get for €300 per night, you've come to the right place. The hotel impresses with a lack of service, questionable hygiene and a special kind of culinary adventure. Freshly cleaned sanitary facilities or a varied menu? None! There are recycling menus and a staff that is apparently invisible. We have learned: Expectation management is everything. So if you're looking for a place where you get little for a lot of money and still have plenty of time to wait - whether for a pony ride or for fresh towels - you'll be happy here. At least not us. No recommendation.

At the beginning of August I spontaneously spent three days at the Rhön Feeling with my two little ones. It was our first time in a family hotel and we thought it was brilliant! All of the staff were super friendly. The restaurant with the two attached game rooms was great, as the two of them were always able to get up from eating and play. What was particularly nice was that there was a children's buffet and the two of them could help themselves at the children's drinks station. also the outdoor area with, among other things. We were able to use the trampoline despite the light rain, and in the morning we also used the childcare at the Happy Club, where we both felt very comfortable. We really felt very warmly welcomed and will definitely come back again
