We arrived with family on Friday in the afternoon 'reception was in a dark café that smelled of cigarettes' we were received by a man who was the friendliest of our entire stay, we received our keys and had to continue with our plans in the elevator It was still broken, so as a 71 year old woman I had to drag my suitcase down the stairs to the second floor and look for our room. Thank goodness it wasn't too bad, we had everything we needed for a short stay. Once in the evening in the bar it was still pleasant until one moment I asked for a white wine, which I had done upon arrival, then there was a glass of wine each for me and my sister, but now no white wine at a time There was a waitress at the bar drinking pink. I went over and asked her to pour two pink ones for us. I got the answer that is not possible because this is the bottle for me and my friend. I was not happy with that. because I had already asked for it before, so I decided to have a cocktail. I asked for a different cocktail 3 times and each time it was like, that's not already there, even though they were all on the menu plus others 'than asked for a moyito, that's it. who was on the table, what a disappointment, no mint leaf, only sugar in the bottom of the glasses, some ice with pieces of lemon and lime and some kind of drink in it, not to mention the toilet in the bar, no toilet paper, no paper towels for your hands and the worst disaster was feces on the toilet seat that was still there on the second day of our stay. Too bad for the young man who just tried to do his best. I will definitely never go back to this hotel again.

Unfortunately you have to give one star...I paid around 130€ for myself including breakfast. The reception was a counter in a restaurant that reeked so strongly of nicotine and its age that it was almost unbearable to be there. I really hope that the breakfast buffet isn't served there, but the smell of cigarettes and musty smell wafted through the whole house. The room itself was a thrown-together oak rustic with a dingy kitchenette and a huge, dented fridge-freezer.My partner's room was a single room and even run down. Before I even spent one night there, I would have gone home.We then got a room 5 minutes away in Brauer's Landarthotel for €159 for two people including breakfast. The best decision! It's just a disgrace to charge so much money for such a disgusting place!

The hotel itself is ok. The location is good. From the outside it makes a rather run-down impression, which is unfortunately confirmed at the "reception" in the pub's rooms. Unfortunately, the cigarette smoke that had gotten into the substance over the years became really noticeable, so I skipped breakfast. When checking in, the nice gentleman at the reception wanted 168 euros from me. The reason that the payment process with Agoda doesn't work seemed strange to me.I showed all the confirmations and he reassured himself by calling his boss. All I had to do was pay the tourist tax, as stated when booking. The room was functionally equipped. Since I was traveling all day, I only needed a bed to sleep in the evening. It's completely fine for that.

Overall, a disaster. I'm glad I didn't have to bear the costs myself. Unfortunately, I can only confirm all the previous recessions.I wouldn't complain if the room cost 30 thalers. But if you see online that the costs are around €100 to €130 then I would expect something different. The staff were very friendly and nice, but that's the least you can expect.

Quite old, strange clientele. Staff nice though. Breakfast average. It's okay for one or two nights.

We were here with three people on a motorcycle tour and can't understand the recent negative reviews. The boss and his staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were small, cozy and clean. We didn't notice any smells from the smoking restaurant in the hotel hallway or even the room. The breakfast was rich and the extensive selection of bread rolls was particularly great. The fact that we were able to park our motorcycles safely in the backyard rounds off the whole thing. We will definitely come back here on the next Eifel tour.

Hands off!!!! There was hair everywhere in the bed and in the shower, the entire hallway smelled of smoke, and the window in the room was open so it was freezing cold. The breakfast is very bad, everything is empty and no longer good.We asked the owner about it but he wasn't interested. It's a shame you can't give 0 stars!Never again!

Reception smelled of cold smoke as it is in a pub. The price was not justified for the breakfast. My room was entered even though I had the do not disturb sign hanging outside. At that time my window was opened, which I didn't notice. The elevator didn't work. Furniture very old and not attractive. I cannot recommend the hotel.

Friendly welcome, but appearances can be deceiving. The elevator is broken, the stairwell and hallways smell of cold smoke, and the windows are constantly open throughout the building. Rooms were clean, old furniture, very lumpy mattresses. Pretty uncomfortable. Breakfast selection counted. Early departure, criticism is not accepted by the owner and is rather trivialized.

FINGER OFF / DO NOT BOOK if you want to go on vacation or a business trip to the beautiful town of Daun!!!!“The hotel” is completely open at 2 degrees with all windows open so that an attempt is made to disguise the smell of cigarettes.Yes, the hotel is old/outdated but you can take care of it - not done here! The rooms on the second floor were rotten and really disgusting 🤢 the shower was already moldy in the joints and the mattresses were so old that we felt like we were lying on the slatted frame - but the bed sheets were much worse (so thin and old that you could see through them). could) and we lay in bed ITCHING! Upholstery cannot be washed and was probably 50 years old - you don't want to sit there or put anything down! We didn't open the suitcases!!!In bed you were also afraid of being grilled by open cables. The “breakfast” was a hit - not only did you have to walk through a smoky / ice-cold bar (which is constantly ventilated) - we received a counted roll/egg with 1 slice of cucumber... there were four of us and there were 6 slices cheap cheese/sausage…Please save the money!!!The rooms would have to be declared as assembly rooms or the floors would have to be closed and renovated one after the other, room by room!We checked out early (instead of 3 nights, only 1 night itching) with FULL PAYMENT - the owner denied everything!Even the city residents advise against the accommodation, as police operations and the public order office come and go every week!
