Kathmeyer's Landhaus Godewind

Very nice, small hotel. Lovingly furnished, we had a beautiful terrace with a beach chair. Friendly, unobtrusive staff and a breakfast that left nothing to be desired. Large parking lot, bicycle shelter and the city was within walking distance. Absolutely recommended.

The "Kathmeyer's Landhaus Godewind" is a beautiful small hotel in Sankt Peter-Ording.A fantastic accommodation with a small downer for me personally:The very rich breakfast buffet does not offer any warm dishes apart from boiled eggs (you can cook them yourself according to your desired hardness) and scrambled eggs. Unfortunately, there are no small sausages, meatballs or anything similar that you can almost always find at larger breakfast buffets. Not even fried bacon with scrambled eggs. It's a shame for me, as I usually enjoy exactly these foods on vacation (you don't do things like that for breakfast at home).But if you don't value it, you'll definitely be completely happy.Otherwise there is really nothing missing from the extensive breakfast buffet. Huge selection of almost everything (rolls/bread, sausage, cheese, fish, salads, honey/jam, muesli, yoghurt, ...), which is always refilled by the extremely attentive and friendly staff.The building itself is great. The look of the well-kept "small" thatched roof house with a beautifully landscaped outdoor area is a joy as soon as you enter/drive on the property. The farm offers enough parking space for all guests.All the employees are super warm and nice, so you immediately feel comfortable and at home.The rooms are furnished to a high standard, nothing seems old and dusty, everything seems new.The comfort room we booked had, in addition to the large bed, a couch with a table, two armchairs/chairs with a table, and a desk.A refrigerator for your own drinks is available as well as a safe in the room. Free, fast WiFi is available. There is also a large flat screen on the wall with easy viewing from the bed. There are no wishes left unfulfilled.The associated bathroom is also modern and tastefully furnished with a large shower, washbasin, towel warmer, hairdryer, etc. As in the room itself, it is not cramped but there is enough space.Worth mentioning is the room's terrace with its own beach chair, where you can sit outside for a while and relax.For common use by all guests there is a beautiful library with comfortable seating and a terrace in front of the house with tables, seating and more beach chairs. Everything great and high quality.If you get a little hungry or thirsty, there is a wide range of snacks (ice cream, snacks, confectionery) and drinks (wine, beer, soft drinks, there is also a coffee machine) where you can relax as a guest around the clock at comparatively moderate prices.The location is very quiet on a side street. Nevertheless, you can reach the town center and the pier to the beach in just a few minutes on foot. So that's perfect too.

The Goodewind country house in Sankt Peter-Ording is located on a small side street and is therefore very quiet. The area is beautifully planted and offers both a parking space for guests and a shelter for bicycles. The house itself is a thatched building, which fits perfectly with the concept of a country house. I was there for two nights, but that's not possible at any time.The breakfast buffet offers a large selection of fresh rolls and bread with various spreads, jams, sausages and cheese. I was particularly impressed by the variety of yoghurts and fruit salads, which together with various grains and seeds make the perfect muesli. The highlight, however, is the homemade Bircher muesli – absolutely delicious!A particularly nice touch is the option to cook your own eggs and set your own time. For tea lovers, there is a special station with loose teas in a variety of flavors - a wonderful idea that makes the start of the day even more pleasant.The service in the breakfast room is not only friendly, but also very attentive and quick to help if you need something, such as freshly brewed coffee. You are always greeted with a smile at the reception, which makes your stay very pleasant right from the start.I had a spacious double room, suitably furnished in the style of a country house. There was a small seating area with a sofa and coffee table as well as a desk with a chair. The television is mounted on the wall, perfect for relaxing from bed. I found the mini fridge particularly practical, which you can use for your own drinks. The bathroom seemed newly renovated and had everything you need. Overall, the interior design gave the impression that it had been put together personally and lovingly, so that you immediately felt at home.Overall, I can highly recommend Landhaus Goodewind. It is the perfect place for a relaxed breakfast in a cozy atmosphere with excellent service and equally comfortable rooms.
