We spent a lovely weekend in the JH. The location of the small and well-maintained JH is great, great views of the autumnal landscape all around and no traffic to be heard or seen. The staff were very concerned about our well-being and the rooms were clean and tidy. Thank you and see you next time!

We children from the Aue-Schwarzenberg Youth Red Cross go to the youth hostel twice a year for our training weekend. The children feel very comfortable because the staff are always there for them, there is delicious food and there are many activities (near the forest, playground, soccer field, slackline and so on). The children and their carers always enjoy coming here and are grateful that they have found such a wonderful place.

This hostel was very nice.About the rooms: There are some with bathrooms but also some with only a wad.There are showers in the basement that are very well maintained and clean.Food was very tasty every day.The staff was friendly and nice.

Always spend our time there with friends and hiking. Friendly welcome, delicious and varied breakfast and dinner with warm portions. Clean rooms, cozy get-togethers in the club room and great support for any concerns. Thanks so much.

It is a particularly pretty house surrounded by beautiful nature.You have a beautiful view of the Czech mountains.The youth hostel has a great playground in this great natural setting with a soccer field, table tennis table, slackline, swings, climbing net, etc.Very nice employees give very helpful tips.Excursion destinations: 1. the pretty Czech spa town of Karlovy Vary.2. Wurzelrudi's adventure world in Eibenstock - nice little amusement park.3.Asian market on the Czech border by car 2 minutes on foot about 15 minutes - you can eat cheaply in restaurants but the market sellers are a bit pushy.If you go in winter, there are many great ski slopes here.The lounge was nice and the food was very good. Children only have to pay pro rata for dinner. There are small souvenirs to buy.

As a participant in the yoga weekend with ointment making at the end of March, I would like to add to the previous comment.The friendly alternative practitioner addressed the needs of each individual participant during the yoga class and the ointment production. She provided background knowledge and handed out interesting ointment recipes. With very few ingredients it is no problem to make your own individual ointment/s at home.... which is what I just did :)Thank you very much for that!Kind regards and goodbye.

We were at the youth hostel at the end of March for the yoga weekend with a natural cosmetics workshop (ointment production).This was very clean. The staff was very warm and absolutely accommodating.The food was sufficient and tasty, made with love.The surrounding nature offers many opportunities for hiking/winter sports.We would like to come back 😀

This beautiful family youth hostel is ideal for a short relaxing holiday. As a family with two children (6yrs & 3yrs) you can have a really good time here. The food is great and is lovingly presented (you actually run the risk of eating too much 😉), the host and his team are always friendly, patiently answer every question and take care of the guests' wishes. The house combines a great mix of comfortable existing buildings with functional furnishings. Located in the middle of forests, right on the Czech border, there are lots of excursion options and beautiful hiking trails to enjoy your free time.In general, we always feel confirmed that we stay in youth hostels because the price-performance ratio is right - we would be happy to come back and thank the JH team

Always nice to be with you! We particularly like the warm and familiar atmosphere. We actually always travel with three people plus a large dog and were therefore very happy with a large room 😀 Breakfast and dinner are like at home and lovingly prepared. We cannot understand some of the negative reviews about the dinner. In the evening, in addition to sandwiches, a number of delicious salads and cold cuts, there were also warm dishes such as fried sausages, really good curds and very tasty pasta casserole 😍👍 The staff is super nice, helpful, available for a chat and exudes great hospitality. We are convinced of the youth hostel concept (which apparently not everyone has understood yet🤔) and would be happy to come back.

We had a wonderful school trip, not least because of the hostel. The staff was always friendly and accommodating. The food seemed freshly prepared every time and the dining atmosphere was very cozy. The hostel was spacious and clean at all times and you could sleep well in the beds. It always seemed lively because of the lovingly decorated rooms. There are also wonderful opportunities for cross-country skiing and downhill skiing and even when there is no snow, Johanngeorgenstadt offers many other activities.
