Apartment Wesseling Zentrum

Okay, maybe not 5 stars, but also (definitely) not 2,9. We booked this accommodation on booking.com and we (2 best friends, but male and female) actually thought it was a 2-room apartment. We specifically booked this apartment, so we could have some private space and sleep in separate rooms. The reason we thought it was a 2-room apartment is because they show pictures of the different rooms they offer, but to us it definitely wasn’t clear that it was more like a studio apartment. Luckily we could at least separate the beds. Apart from that the room is great. Yes, the mattresses are hard, but everybody likes their mattress differently. A hard mattress is actually better for you. We slept perfectly fine, despite the fact that we prefer our mattresses a bit softer. The kitchen is supplied with all the basics you’ll need during your short stay. No, there is no dishwasher. It’s a short-stay accommodation, you can just use the provided singe to wash your plates. There’s a microwave though. And a coffee machine, an electric kettle, a fridge, plates, utensils, pans, etc. etc...The location of the apartment is great, if you want to visit Phantasialand and/or Cologne. In the near area you’ll find more than enough supermarkets and some (basic) restaurants.We were (also) a bit confused about how to enter the building (you need the 6-number code, ending with a # which you’ll receive by e-mail after booking the room) and no, the owner does not speak English. This can be a bit challenging, but you can always just call him and ask him to send him a sms/WhatsApp and he will try his best to help you in English (probably using google translate). That’s what we did in order to figure out where we could find the WiFi password and it worked out just fine.We paid €210 in total for 3 nights, which is only €35 per night, per person. Let’s be honest, that’s a fair price.So... please, let’s all just stop bashing small business owners online. You can ruin someone’s livelihood. Don’t be that person.

+Very clean property, all the amenities look new! Wifi works great. Close to the train station!.

A sparkling, clean hotel. It has a very quiet location.There are all the items you may need in the kitchen.All the furniture in the room was new and clean.It has a very nice balcony.The hotel is a 5-minute walk from the tram line. You can go to Cologne center in about 30 minutes by tram.If I come to Cologne again, it's one of the places I can stay.
