I looked for a hotel in Cologne via booking.com. As a filter I specified 4 people: 2 adults and 2 children aged 9 and 12. I wanted a 4 person room. When I arrived at the hotel there was no one present and the hotel looked completely deserted. I then called a number that was on the door. I had to enter a certain code into the key safe so that I could take out the room keys. The lady told me on the phone that we have two rooms on two different floors and that we have two children. We had to go through a hallway that smelled really old and looked very old. Then horror arrived in the room. There were stains and hairs everywhere on the bed, the furnishings were totally outdated and worn, the armchair was almost falling apart. The showerhead just stopped working because the holder had broken off. I then called the hotel number again. The lady on the phone then gave me two other rooms. We then had to go through the main entrance through the breakfast area. Again the hotel looked like a lost place. This time the two rooms were opposite each other. But even there the inventory was more than worn out. The tiles on the floor in the mini bathrooms were loose and the grout lines were no longer there. The shower door was full of mold. In the room, holes in the walls were covered with simple paper and scotch tape. There were loose cables behind it (probably an old socket). On the dessert there was a burn mark from either a cigarette (actually a non-smoking hotel) or an electrical part. A hole was simply cut out in the wall above the television and a triple plug was inserted. The TV turned itself off and on again at regular intervals. In the middle of the night the TV just turned on. There was a switch on the door without a panel. The dust on the picture frames was at least 5 years old. The noise from the main street that goes directly past the room window doesn't let you sleep at night. When the employees come in the morning there is such a racket that you are awake by 7 a.m. at the latest every morning. No chance of sleeping in. I paid almost €400 for two nights and breakfast wasn't even included. The breakfast area was covered from day one and stood there without being replaced once. Very unhygienic. The hotel is barely sufficient as a fitter's room, although it would be too expensive for that. If it had been possible, I would have left the hotel immediately after 5 minutes. Supposedly a three star hotel.

Dirty room - rating 1.2My stay at this hotel was a complete disaster. Already at check-in it became clear that something was wrong. The employee seemed overwhelmed and insecure. The first impression of the building and the rooms was shocking. Worn furniture, dirty rooms and a musty smell permeated the entire house. Mold in the shower, blood stains on the bed and other unsanitary conditions made staying impossible. The equipment was not only outdated, but also partly defective. The service was equally poor. Room cleaning was zero, towels were simply put back on the bed even though they were on the floor. The breakfast was inedible and seemed like it was from the day before. The hotel does not offer any amenities such as a pool, spa or gym. The lobby was dreary and uncomfortable.Overall, my stay was an imposition. I cannot recommend this hotel under any circumstances. Anyone who books here must be prepared for an extremely unpleasant surprise.

Grateful to the lady who served him, very friendly and helpful. I felt good, safe, calm, rested and above all I ate very well because I really liked the breakfast offered. I recommend it because it's easy to get to, it's very close to the airport and if you don't have a lot of luggage you can get there by public transport. In the area there are restaurants, a supermarket, a pharmacy, a German post office, a bakery and much more. I recommend it and will definitely come back.

OMG - ancient rooms, TV? just “snow”, no picture, towels were so old that the “white” could only pass for light gray

The furniture is extremely worn. Some of the bathrooms are very narrow and the shower in my room was very moldy. As a medium-sized person, you can't sit straight on the toilet in some rooms because your knees would be on the tiles. In my case, I had to climb over the toilet bowl when getting out of the shower because the distance to the wall was only about 30 cm.
