It was very relaxed there. The Schmidt family is very committed. We stayed in the Dachsbau and have already booked for next year.A suggestion: offer the covered wagon ride at the beginning and the stick bread at the end.

Apart from the fact that the rooms are a bit old, it was a great place to stay. The staff was great and helpful. The only drawback is the lack of shopping opportunities nearby, but the Gerwenshof can't do anything about that.

We stayed on the farm with our grandson Toni (2.5 years old) for 4 nights. It was a totally relaxing day (and night) for all of us. The quarters (Kutscherstube) and the range of play options and animals are absolutely great. We never had a moment of boredom. The Schmidt family is always present and helpful. Neat, complete, high-quality apartments. The friendly Schmidt family ensures a pleasant stay for young and old. Activities change almost daily (pony/horse riding, waffle baking, children's cinema, tractor and trailer ride through the area). Many fun outings in the area possible or just walking in and around the village (beautiful viewpoint near the Gerwenshof). Our 4th visit has already been booked.

We've been going to this farm for almost 6 years now and there's no end in sight. The Schmidt family is always super friendly and helpful. They always think of a variety of activities and you can still relax and spend time with the family. There is a lot to explore in the area.We can only recommend this farm for families with kids of any age.

We spent a week on the farm for the first time with our almost 3 year old son and booked straight away for next year.It is a beautifully situated, quiet farm with horses, pigs, rabbits, chickens, goats, donkeys, cats and dogs. For the children there are 2 playgrounds, a straw play barn, a playroom (with lots of great things) and of course the vehicles for the kids should not be missing.We had the Eschendeele holiday apartment, a beautiful apartment right in the main house. Despite the fact that it faces the courtyard, where the hustle and bustle takes place, it is very quiet.Everything you need is available in the apartment.The Schmidt family is very friendly and helpful. If you have any questions or need help, you will be helped straight away.We can wholeheartedly recommend the Gerwenshof and are already looking forward to the next time 😀

This year, for the sixth time in a row, we spent a week of vacation with our granddaughters at the Gerwenshof, a paradise for children. We all always felt very comfortable here. Many thanks to the Schmidt family, who always supported us with advice and support.The location of the holiday farm is ideal. With the Sauerland Card you can use many activities in the beautiful surroundings free of charge or at low cost.We can fully recommend the Gerwenshof!

Great family, great farm.We were there for the second time and were thrilled again.Pony rides, baking waffles, vehicles for children, experiencing animals up close, playgrounds, covered wagon rides and great hiking trails. Bread service, small farm shop and a milk and ice cream vending machine nearby.The holiday apartments are very well equipped.It was another great, relaxing holiday and we would love to come back.

A family-run farm, the way you want it!Our daughter went to feed the rabbits and pigs every morning. Then pick up the freshly baked rolls every day and then pet the ponies, donkeys and dogs.In between, just enjoy country life, get fresh milk from the neighboring farmer, or go to the nearby Tobeland or the swimming pool.The Schmidt family and especially their daughter Jenny put so much passion and energy into the farm that nothing is missing!The apartments and the yard itself are also very well equipped. Drinks are always well chilled for you to serve yourself for a small fee, a washing machine and dryer are available and the charging station for the electric car also works absolutely reliably.We were able to spend 10 really great days and say thank you!!!

Great family vacation with a lot of program for the toddler and relaxation for the parents.The Schmidt family is such a loving and caring family. Whenever we needed something or had a request, it was made possible.With two great playgrounds right on the farm and a third a few meters further in town, there are plenty of opportunities to play. There are also indoor play options and a large fleet of vehicles with various vehicles.You can also go pony riding, make waffles from the fire and take a wagon ride.A big highlight was feeding the various animals (pigs, chickens, rabbits) and also petting the dog and cat 😍We went hiking once and were able to rent e-bikes with bike trailers, that was great!The farm is in a very idyllic location and we had a wonderful view of the greenery from the terrace of our apartment and just felt really relaxed.

Beautifully located farm with everything children need to be happy. Plenty of vehicles for small and large children, riding on ponies or horses, football field and outdoor bowling alley nearby, hiking, cycling tours, short distance to Schmallenberg, Winterberg and other beautiful towns.When something was missing in the apartment, we got it very quickly and the farm program was also great with a covered wagon ride, stick bread and waffle food.There were of course a few Corona restrictions during our stay, which of course the hosts can't do anything about and have provided plenty of information material about alternative programs.

Enjoyed it immensely. Our apartment was right in front of the playground. While we enjoyed a cup of coffee on the terrace or on the lazy benches (which just happened to be installed that weekend), our children could play to their heart's content in the playground: digging in the sandbox, jumping on the trampoline, what more could a child want? We cuddled the rabbits and went for a walk with the ponies. There are many excellent restaurants in the area (you must like schnitzel or pizza). A trip to Winterberg is also recommended.The apartments are very well equipped, just be careful with the kettle, which can have problems. Of course, it remains a farm, so take mud and insects into account.

Unfortunately, the farm owners weren't as ambitious and welcoming as I expected from the reviews.I chose this farm because it was well rated.But I can't understand the positive reviews!!There was no information, only if you asked yourself, there was no real connection to the animals for the children...By that I mean helping with feeding, grooming the horses (only when you ride them)On day 3 I didn't know what to do with my daughter on the farm other than go to the playground, there was nothing to do from the farm. It's really a shame...On the whole, the yard is not well maintained, by that I mean broken sand toys, vehicles for children are also broken, the indoor trampoline also has a crack... you always have to be careful...And what made matters worse was that the mattresses were terribleMy expectations from this farm were very disappointed!
