DANGER! Not to be confused with the Athos in Waldbröl! Because we made the mistake! We had raved to our friends about the Athos in Waldbröl, which is now closed, so as we knew we went to the old post office on the Athos. Important: neither the staff nor anything else is reminiscent of the Athos in Waldbröl; in short; If you expect the level of service and taste - stay away from there! Find another Greek restaurant!!!!Interesting evening and in almost 40 years of life, I have never had such experiences as there. We were there at 5:00 p.m. when it opened and sat comfortably outside, 4 adults, 1 child, 1 toddler. Of course the order is slightly larger. My friends had the rump steak with cream sauce once and gyros pan twice. Once without onions and once without tomatoes, please. Around 6:15 p.m. we noticed that card payments weren't possible, so my colleague drove off to the bank. At this time the waitress came and announced that there was no cream sauce. We explained to her hand and foot that herb butter was also okay. I would like to note that it was only an hour later that we noticed that there was no cream sauce... well, we weren't under any time pressure. But hungry! Finally, around 7 p.m., the food arrived, yay and, huh?!When the order came, we noticed that the onions were gone, but the tomatoes remained, well, before the whole meal had to go back, we overlooked that, and finally there were fries and a spoonful of Djuvec rice... that Rice was inedible, it was covered in cumin and tasted like a baby laxative. I ordered a baked feta cheese and additional tzatziki. My wife only ordered the ice cream with the lava cake.I just noted that we received bread with the gyro pan, but none with the feta cheese or tzatziki; so we got 2x bread again. €6.50 each... the “side dish” tzatziki cost €7.50, without saying a word about it being charged extra. It wasn't edible either because it was yesterday's bread, that is, as it stands. Dry hard edges, interior was also “dry”. The bread in front of it, which we got as a side dish to the main course, was edible. Why am I going into such detail about what we ordered? The total bill was €121.90!!!!!!! 2 Cola, 3 Spezi, 1 water.I was shocked and surprised at the same time. Of course we paid and gave a tip. Last but not least, they didn't even say thank you and asked if the food was tasty; or wished you a nice evening and the obligatory ouzo to say goodbye was also missed (not an ultimatum, but a "nice to have" as a thank you)... I understand that communication is difficult and service is often under-overestimated, But it is part of decency and respect to at least say thank you and wish you a nice evening. The service was more or less overwhelmed, spoke very, very bad German and only understood numbers instead of requests or suggestions (I mean, there are also allergies to certain foods). There was no pepper or salt on the table, it wasn't when asked possible to get a pepper or salt shaker. Conclusion: once and never again, thank you for the experience. Location great, great walks possible around it, atmosphere very nice, a bit dangerous to sit on the corner for the car drivers, but otherwise sitting outside was just great on a mild summer evening! It's wonderful there to hold a red wine / white wine meeting, but we won't be coming back for dinner.
