Although there was nothing going on, we were put in the barren and unfriendly next room...then another couple came to eat...they were also initially put in the next room. When the landlady "recognized" this couple as known, they were allowed in the friendly furnished inn where they continued to be served... That's not possible... at least there was nothing wrong with the food, it was really good...

Very nice family-run inn with cozy, rustic guest rooms with modern bathrooms, a lavish and extensive breakfast and very tasty Bavarian food with large portions at fair prices. You feel at home here. We have been regular guests of the Achner family for 15 years and always enjoy coming back. Highly recommended for everyone. Great and beautiful, worthwhile excursion destinations in the area.

Rating for the restaurant only!Unfortunately, we only read the recurring bad reviews after our visit. Thanks to arriving very early, we got a relatively good seat and were a little more lucky than other guests, some of whom were assigned new table neighbors without asking. In our opinion that doesn't work at all. The very unfriendly older waitress justifies this with “I can’t afford that, otherwise I’ll be idle” 🤯.Approaching guests with umbrellas were immediately intercepted and told to leave umbrellas outside.About the food itself: Contrary to expectations, the salad was quite good. Rump steak was as it should be. Hot plates would be recommended. The steak with cognac sauce and red pepper was too far and therefore slightly dry. Unfortunately, the sauce was bland and was reminiscent of a finished product. Too bad for the meat. Now to the checkout. Of course the senior woman did the billing and only came with a note and wallet. Upon request due to Card payment, she replied rather grumpily that that wouldn't be possible, is written on the outside and on the card. Well, we must have missed it. Original sound from the cashier “Euro is Euro” 😱. So she got euros, but deliberately WITHOUT a tip...unfortunately there was no reason for it!!Unfortunately not recommended at all!!!!

Not recommended, I had contact with the operator about a booking request and had the impression of a very arrogant personality - we also didn't agree on the price - in my opinion, value for money wasn't ok.

Restaurant: Service was ok, the food was really very good, Viennese style schnitzel, one of the best I've ever eaten. There was no ketchup, which turned out to be a good thing, because that would have ruined the great taste. The portion with the salad was also quite large and it filled you up well. I think the prices are absolutely ok for this quality. Absolute recommendation to eat there.

First: We can only rate the restaurant. We actually didn't like it that much: the service was attentive and reasonably quick, but not exactly friendly either. The outdoor area is okay, but does not correspond to our expectations of a Bavarian beer garden, as it is only shaded with umbrellas or roofs. We had controversial discussions about the food: my venison goulash was tender, but somehow seasoned weakly and inharmoniously. The meat quality of my wife's roulade was also very good. She found the sauce "inedible", but I found it very interesting and tasty. We had similarly different opinions about the red cabbage, which my wife described as containing cloves and/or. Cinnamon kept over-spiced. However, we had the same opinion about the dumpling, which was practically inedible in our opinion: its "slimy" consistency and unpleasant taste spoiled my wife's appetite for the entire evening.

Very tasty food and friendly service!But with my 🐕 🐕 I had to sit outside, which wasn't a problem for me given the weather 🌞.But it's a shame that dogs aren't very welcome in the restaurant. That's why 2 stars deducted.

We cannot understand the negative reviews from some guests.We ate here twice during our stay in Walchensee.Whether it was the Corden Bleu, cheese spaetzle or the schnitzel with cornflakes breading, everything was very tasty.The salad, which was fresh, also tasted very good.The only thing that is a bit annoying is the location. There is a certain level of noise on the main street.But everyone should be aware of that.If we are in the region again, we would be happy to come back

So we're not from Michelin but the duck with dumplings and cheese spaetzle were very good. The mixed salad was also great. The waitresses were also nice.

I'm just rating the restaurant here:Service wasn't too warm, as one is used to in this region of Bavaria.There were clear plastic covers on the tables, combined with the “older” furnishings it didn’t make a great picture for us.We felt like we were constantly being watched by the senior manager and therefore didn't feel comfortable at dinner.The food itself was ok.The roast was a bit dry and the sauce was pretty bland. There was a bit too much cinnamon in the red cabbage for my taste.Grilled chicken breast with spaetzle in pepper cream sauce - well, it definitely wasn't spaetzle (says a Badner...) and the taste of the sauce was very similar to a Maggifix packet... However, there was a lot of chicken breast on the plate.

We had lunch here.The meal was excellent.The price-performance ratio is very good. Nice, friendly hospitality.Unfortunately something outside in the beer gardenloud right there on the street.We will stop there again when we are in the area again.
