It feels like you're going to stay with grandpa and grandma. The hotel is spotless, the host is friendly, the food is delicious and there is plenty of room to walk and play on the site itself. And moreover, the price-quality ratio is top. Nothing to complain about. It is clear that it is a faded glory. But you can't see that with your eyes closed. Our hotel room was like walking into the 70's. Something that, in our opinion, also fits very well with Germany. The hotel room is fine for a short stay. Nice beds and clean. For a longer stay I would rent one of the houses.Just go, don't let the interior stop you, take the daily menu, and enjoy!

Had a very pleasant weekend. Very hospitably received by the owner himself. The room was a standard one that was old but very well maintained and very clean. The dinner was very good, you get a starter, main course and after course, which were very extensive and because it was very quiet with the guests, the owner ate with us which led to very nice conversations. The area is very quiet and there are many walking routes that show the beautiful surroundings. You can walk here for hours and not meet anyone. The location of the holiday park is also very nice, located at the start of many hiking trails.Breakfast buffet had everything you would expect. Toasting your own bread is also possible. A lovely one from half past nine is also nice so you can sleep in.When checking out, the owner even offered to take us to Bestwig station by car so that we don't have to walk down the mountain. After shaking hands we could continue our journey back to the Netherlands by train

Slightly outdated hotel with a very cozy atmosphere.Simple but very clean rooms and very tasty breakfast.Great location with an indescribable view of the Sauerland. The boss may sometimes be difficult to understand with his Dutch language, but he is very friendly and incredibly warm. We'd love to come back.

It is an older traditional hotel with Dutch roots (hence the name) located in a place with very few accommodations on a mountain 200m above the nearby valley. The complex is divided into several houses, most of which have a good view of the valley from all rooms. The decor is rustic, but the rooms and public areas are very clean. I had nothing to complain about when it came to the quality of the food, but the selection wasn't that big, but that's understandable given the more or less small number of guests; this applies to both breakfast and dinner. In my opinion, there is very little staff in the hotel (not meant in a negative way) and the extremely friendly landlord was the only one you noticed during my visit. All in all, it was a very pleasant stay with a good price/performance ratio.

The two of us stayed here for one night. The reception was poor, we were given the key and briefly explained the way to our room. The room was cold and very clearly furnished. TV, WiFi or guest information - unfortunately none, and there was no warm water either. The entire room was very noisy, so a youth group that used the room next door to get together prevented us from sleeping. After complaining twice, the owner came after what felt like an eternity and moved the group. It was quieter but you could still hear everything that was happening in the hallway. We were unable to eat the breakfast we had booked because it is only served from 8 a.m. every day. We were not given a packed lunch or our money back.Since the owners are Dutch, you get the feeling that only Dutch guests are welcome and are treated kindly. All in all not recommended, not even for one night.

Inexpensive hotel with friendly staff. Good breakfast. Hygiene top. Unfortunately, the hotel is very noisy, many of the playground equipment are broken and it urgently needs to be modernized. It still seems to be up to 80's hotel standards. Rather unsuitable for families with children. Especially because of the clairaudience. Therefore gracious 3 stars.

The rooms are not the most modern, apart from a flat screen little has been done since the 80s, but they are clean. When showering you should always be prepared for surprises, always keep your hand on the cold water regulator otherwise you risk a very hot shower. Not necessarily ideal, especially for children. The breakfast was very simple, only black tea and coffee, no piece of fruit, no variety. The dinner was more of a snack quality, and not even consistent. The staff tried hard and was very poorly trained. The boss was very unfriendly, complained to his guests and had no answer to the question of how much a Cola mixed drink costs. Unless you're from your native Holland, your guests aren't very important to you. We've had better Pentecost weekends for a bit less money, our demands aren't necessarily the highest but they weren't met.Never again!!!

There was no one to meet at reception, a long wait until someone came, 20 minutes waiting to request towels for 6 pieces. Pretty shabby showers - simple rooms/no TV in the rooms, only in the lounge you can hear everything in the room. Dinner, schnitzel and cordon bleu with fries, nothing more. Breakfast nothing fresh, no fruit, granola dispenser rubbish juice bar empty rolls ok no cocoa for kids only after asking. Clearly laid out buffet. Large property, service nice. Everything was very cold, bowling alley, and Sauerlandbar everything was cold. Not very Dutch again, preferring Dutch behavior....
