We were in the Hochkopfhütte with a hiking group in September. We were a bit irritated by the negative reviews at first,However, we were pleasantly surprised on site. The introduction to the hut and the property manager were completely uncomplicated.Since we were well prepared and had our grill with us and had already planned the dishes at home, the small kitchen didn't matter.Only the number of beds is unrealistic. Theoretically there is space for 32 people, but with 20 you can travel comfortably.Sanitary facilities are clean and sufficient.According to the property management, the defective oven will be replaced before winter. All in all, a nice cabin for groups of up to 20 people for a long weekend.

The consistently bad reviews seem to relate to the times of the former owner. We stayed at the cabin with the family over the weekend and had a good time.No question, the hut is getting old, but offers everything you need for a weekend.I wouldn't recommend full occupancy given the small kitchen and sanitary facilities, but it's easy to organize between 10-15 people. However, the fireplace should be repaired for the winter

Basically a nice house. But for the price, I would expect more these days! When it comes to certain standards, it leaves something to be desired. When you arrive, you have to clear the paths yourself if there is snow or ice. There is even no road saltYou have to get it yourself!Tough shower water.Problem known, but there doesn't seem to be a solution.Toilet flush that doesn't work.Toilet paper holders that are missing everywhere.Beds that you have to prepare yourself. From the pillow to the blanket.Which I can still get over, but it would be nice if it was prepared. It used to be different. Also when it comes to cleanliness!?

A great forest cabin in a fantastic location! This hut is perfect for a hiking holiday, as there are many good hiking trails nearby. We were here for a holiday camp with the club and really had a lovely time. Although it is a bit remote, everything important can be reached quickly by car and you have nature right on your doorstep. The equipment is definitely sufficient, but one of our two shower heads was broken and the kitchen is a bit small. The owner was very friendly and unproblematic. Overall, definitely recommended!

Unfriendly hosts and no heart for a hiking family, you are driven off the property in a disrespectful way.

I can only agree with many of the previous speakers. Unfortunately we were totally disappointed with the accommodation. On the one hand, we were greeted extremely annoyed by the landlady, who told us at length what we weren't allowed to do here and what costs we would expect for every little thing. She only took one bag of rubbish from us and we had to take the rest home with us.In addition, nine of us had to squeeze into a mini room. Maybe ok for kindergarten children, unfortunately not for adults.Completely overpriced if something breaks. We should have already finished cleaning and tidying the rooms, despite the final cleaning fees.On top of that, we found a mouse in our room on the first evening. We definitely won't be coming back.
