Recommended for a pit stop when hiking. Also accessible by car only for coffee. The view of the Black Forest is amazing. You have to have been here.

Beautifully located mountain inn with a wonderful view of the 1414 m high Belchen and the surrounding mountains. The access road is very winding, mostly quite narrow and single-lane.There is enough parking space upstairs. The outdoor area of the Gisiboden Alm is self-service. You sit rustically at beer tables.Food and drink orders are placed inside in the dining room.Delicious dishes are offered, e.g. spinach dumplings, baked with cheese and cauliflower sauce, tarte flambée, lentil salads with warm goat cheese, yeast dumplings, various cakes and tarts and much more.Everything is very tasty and recommended. When the weather is cool, you can sit and eat in the cozy dining room. There are also sun loungers available for guests in the outdoor area. There are various hikes that you can do from the Gisiboden Alm.

Very idyllic location, great view from the beer garden in front of the house.Attention: Usually only open from Thursday to Sunday!!!Drinks are all good, Waldhaus beer is served, very nice!Coffee and cake also good, very tasty blueberry cake, Black Forest cake, rhubarb or cheesecake. The food is otherwise very mixed: lentil salad with baked cheese is nice but a very small portion. The tarte flambée is extremely thin, quite dry and narrowly topped. The sausage salad is okay, also a very small portion with very simple brown bread on the side. There are very few other warm dishes, neither fried potatoes, Strammer Max, fries or schnitzel or other hut classics are available on site.Everything in the beer garden is self-service. When we came by here in August 2024, the entire food distribution was visibly overwhelmed and was running quite erratically.
