Super great house with one major drawback.First of all, to the point of criticism:The WiFi is terrible. At certain times, even sending or receiving a single image was impossible and simple pages took forever to load. Sometimes nothing worked at all. It became annoying, especially in the evening when everyone wanted to go online. The best time was around 1 a.m. :).The problem is not to be blamed on the house, but rather on the coverage of the place. Apparently they're working on a fiber optic cover, as I saw from a response from the owner 9 months ago... but at the moment that's still a thing of the future.I also read in this answer that the poor coverage was specifically mentioned on their site. However, this information isn't easy to find, so I looked for it again and didn't find anything...That's actually worth deducting one star, but in view of the many positive things, it's still a well-intentioned 5 stars. And now to the mostly very positive experiences:We booked the beautiful chillout lounge. There are enough pictures of it, we were really impressed by the ambience, especially the great bathroom with the beautiful stone basin and the glass view into the bedroom. The modern kitchen also leaves nothing to be desired.Minor compromises when it comes to kitchen utensils. Only blunt knives, dented frying pans, glasses with small corners etc.The bedroom, like the living room, offers a beautiful view with the great, large window front. The bed was a bit soft for my taste, but surprisingly I still slept well in it.The house offers a cozy outdoor area in the countryside, which is ideal for dinner.Washing machine, drying rack, hair straightener and table are also available for longer stays. For entertainment in the evening there is a bowling alley with a bar. The bowling alley is a bit old and doesn't look quite as nice when thrown, but it is functional and fun. The shabby room is a bit old and shabby, I didn't feel very comfortable there, but it still offers entertaining hours. The spa area is my personal highlight and the main reason why I chose this house. There is a herbal sauna, infrared sauna and steam bath. Everything in perfect condition and well maintained. Once you get used to the technology, nothing stands in the way of relaxing hours. The beautiful pool area with glass front and glass roof includes two heated loungers on artificial turf and of course the two-part pool. On the one hand there is the 36 degree warm jacuzzi and on the other hand the slightly larger swimming pool, which offers a current for swimming and around 28 degree warm water. The pool was mostly clean and not as chlorine-heavy as elsewhere. After a few days the water was a bit musty.A day later, after the caretaker's visit, everything was inviting again, great.I thought I read on the homepage that the spa area is only for ages 16 and up. So we were surprised to meet a family with two small children there. The Kuckucks Hideaway is probably not a pure spa hostel for older people looking for peace and quiet. There were several families during our 12-day stay and on the weekend a large group of young people came who rounded off the weekend with a pool party and bowling. But we never felt disturbed, on the contrary, all the guests were very pleasant. This also applies to the caretaker and housekeepers...everyone is very friendly and hard-working, everything is nice and clean and well maintained. The hosts also made a warm impression, even if we only communicated via WhatsApp.Many thanks to everyone for the wonderful time we were able to spend with you
