Maybe this hotel is appealing but maybe not. We won't know because our rooms, which were booked 1/2 year in advance, were canceled by the hotel 2 days before without giving any reasons. There was no acceptable alternative other than to stay with 4 adults in a so-called three-bed suite. But we weren't given a price here. The price was not mentioned when we queried it over the phone. I was promised a message about this via WhatsApp. This came a little later with the information that there were now no rooms available at all.Unfortunately, it was a real disaster for our backpacking hike, as it was difficult for us to deviate from the tour and the Harz was almost fully booked for this holiday weekend.So very very very bad customer orientation. Definitely not recommended!So not a single star!

Stolberg is a really beautiful Harz village and the Weisse Ross fits into it in a way that couldn't be better. The family who run this extremely picturesque hotel are very kind, helpful and attentive.The breakfast was very good and rather oversized, the bed was comfortable, the room was large (the ceiling was low :D). In any case, I liked it very much.The hotel is old, of course. So if you're expecting a modern hipster building, don't come here. But if you can accept the fact that a house from the 17th century has a different flair than a branch of a hotel chain, I expressly recommend a visit to the Weisses Ross.

A good address for a stay in the southern Harz. The residential town of Stolberg offers something for everyone. From many half-timbered houses to the city palace, many historical objects can be explored. A good starting point for this is the Pension Weißes Roß. This is a traditional accommodation with breakfast. The rooms are simple, but also in a quiet location. The breakfast is more than sufficient. The coffee tasted very good and was freshly made. Parking spaces are available free of charge in the backyard. Free internet via WiFi is offered. If you want to have dinner, we recommend visiting the neighboring restaurants. The Selkefall and the Selketalbahn (historic narrow-gauge railway) are a few minutes' drive from the accommodation. Unfortunately you can only pay in cash at the property.

It was 5 very nice days in the white horse. Breakfast was good, always fresh sausage and a fresh egg every day. Rooms weren't the newest but everything was clean and in order.

A great old historic hotel with a lot of style. Very nice and friendly hosts who take care of you. Ideal for trips to the Stolberg Harz area. For hiking or a visit to the castle. Spacious, clean rooms with great views of the castle. Also ideal for motorcyclists and groups who want to start their tours from there. There are numerous feel-good restaurants around the hotel. The rich breakfast buffet is highly recommended. We will definitely make a trip here again.
