We spent our vacation in this lovely little hotel in August.The bathrooms are a bit old, but everything is very clean and the rooms are equipped with beautiful painted farmhouse furniture.The boss cooks himself and does it at his finest!!!! It couldn't be better. The boss is also very friendly and even makes little surprises possible when the children call because it is their parents' wedding anniversary. Thanks again for that.We felt completely at home, will definitely come back again and definitely recommend the Sonnenhof.

Friendly little hotel in a great location. Super nice and helpful owner couple, very friendly from the first to the last minute. Rooms very clean. We were there for four days to relax and go on short hikes and felt very comfortable. Dog was very welcome. The breakfastand dinner (4-course menu) was excellent! The pool invites you to swim after the hikes. There are numerous hiking and walking opportunities directly from the hotel, and many other Black Forest highlights are nearby.

We (father and son) stayed at the Landhaus Sonnenhof for two days as a starting point for a longer hike. On the day of arrival we were warmly welcomed by the owner, who introduced us to the house and its advantages with a short tour. Our double room was cozy and nicely furnished. We slept very well. We particularly recommend the small, fine swimming pool in the basement, ideal for relaxing after a strenuous hike. The highlight was the 4 course dinner, in a word, it was excellent! The manager of the house was also very attentive and always had a smile on her face during dinner and breakfast. This is how you imagine a cozy country hotel in the Black Forest. The hotel is an excellent starting point for long hikes or as a starting point for motorcyclists.

Stayed here in the Black Forest for 3 nights. Were received very friendly by the owner couple. The half board service was optimal. The idea of supplying food without a lot of leftovers suits our philosophy very well. The rooms are clean and tidy with a cozy charm. We weren't able to use the swimming pool and sauna due to our short stay, but we found it very nice. If we are in the area again we would be happy to come back.

Very friendly and courteous host couple.For us Swiss, dogs are welcome in the hotelon August 1st very important and good.Very good cuisine in the evening and good breakfast buffetwith the concept of having no leftover food. This also results in a very good price-performance ratio for the stay.The possibility of using the indoor swimming pool is also very nice.

Quiet and rural location with a rustic appearance. You immediately feel at home. The friendly owners with their dedication will leave you wanting for nothing. Breakfast but also dinner just great. Very nice, cozy hotel, with a very friendly, courteous owner couple, nice wellness area to feel good, the food is very good, everything is very clean.We are a hiking group of 9 people who were all very satisfied. We were guests in this house for the second time and we will come back.

This is our second time here and we immediately felt very comfortable. Very nice hosts, excellent food, a great sauna and swimming pool and the beautiful location in the middle of the Hochschwatzwald. We'd love to come back

The hotel is run by a very friendly couple. As a guest you immediately feel at home. The food tastes good and is plentiful. Breakfast buffet offers everything you want. What particularly struck me compared to many large hotels is that there is a large selection of cheese at the breakfast buffet. We have rarely had such an offer in a hotel. The berths in the indoor pool are a bit small. There are 4 deck chairs inside. Otherwise no place to sit. The pool itself is sufficient.If you want peace and quiet, the Sonnenhof is the right place. We would also stay there again.

We had a very nice stay here from February 28th to March 3rd, 2024 with our children and grandchildren from Zurich with very friendly and attentive hosts, Ms. Maresch and Mr. Arnswald. The rooms, the restaurant lounge, library, fireplace room and the pool with sauna were clean and functionally furnished in Black Forest style. We didn't miss anything, we felt very comfortable here. The breakfast was rich with a large selection of bread rolls and the evening menu as half board was delicious and varied. From the rooms we had a very nice view of the beautiful Black Forest landscape. Here you can calmly recharge your batteries with lots of fresh air and energy. The eco-friendly environment has great hiking routes and is highly recommended. We can recommend the hotel, we will definitely come here again. Thanks again to Ms. Maresch and Mr. Arnswald.

Nice wellness area. 2 saunas, a relaxation area and a pool with various aerator jets. Enough for a few swimming strokes.Not all rooms have been modernized, but they are in perfect order and everything is very clean and well maintained.It is not a public restaurant, half board is possible. However, you can decide in the morning whether you want to eat in the evening or just breakfast. There are various menu suggestions for breakfast for the evening.The owners are very friendly and open-minded. We felt really comfortable, including the dog.

Super friendly couple runs the hotel. They advise you on leisure activities and always have an open ear for the guests. You feel very comfortable. The food is top and requests are addressed immediately.We'd love to come back.
