A small, pleasant, well-kept campsite with decent sanitary facilities, a restaurant and everything else you need. It is a good starting point for excursion destinations in the Harz and Thuringia. Kyffhäuser is a good 50 km away, so it's still quite doable, in this case as a car-driving traveller.

We were here for the first time and this was spontaneous.A very beautiful, child-friendly place in the middle of the forest. There are a wide variety of evening and leisure activities here. The sanitary facilities are clean and modern. There is a bread roll service, which, if you think about it, seems to work really well.We were only here for one night, but would like to come back for a longer period of time.

There are many campsites and there is a very good sanitary area here. Clean and even underfloor heating in the shower area. Washing machine and dishwasher that is ready in 3 minutes. Playground, Rüpelwiese for dogs, hiking trail directly behind the campsite. The fuse didn't even blow out 😅The indoor pool is clean and not overcrowded, and is also included in the price. Happy children are priceless.Enough about us, let’s eat kiwi again 😋

Worn, messy and unkempt, but for Harzen prices expensive space (42.50 for two adults in a carriage with electricity). Not much light comes down; it is almost a forest, so there are lots of leaves and humid despite the dry weather. Warm good bathrooms with nice hot water; they are nice and clean, but smell like sewage. There is a swimming pool, but it is closed in the evening, precisely when you come home from a trip. It is young people who are nice, helpful and willing to serve and who do the best they can, is the impression.Our expectations were higher, and in our view it is not a top-class place worth chasing.

We visited the KNAUS Camping Park in Walkenried from October 2nd to October 6th, 2024 with our caravan. The location is very nice (a bit on a slope, so a little more to build under is necessary^^), very friendly operators with lots of activities e.g. torchlight hike, crafts for children, children's cinema evening, Oktoberfest, forest animal quiz and much more. The location is very easy to reach. We can warmly recommend the camping park! Thank you for the beautiful days 😀

Very clean and modern bungalow. Heater heats quickly and reliably.Great playground and nice atmosphere. The beds are comfortable, but quite narrow. The pillows and blankets are very comfortable and soft.Small drawbacks: the bungalows are incredibly noisy. As soon as a neighbor pulls his chair across the floor, you can hear it. If neighbors are on the terrace, you can overhear entire conversations while trying to fall asleep.Important for everyone: the bungalows do not have basic amenities. There is toilet paper and brooms, dustpans, dishwashing liquid.But neither coffee powder, tea bags nor spices.

It was our first time here on the site and we used the parking space directly at the campsite.The restaurant was also open, but we didn't use it. In any case, it was very full after 6 p.m. Probably speaks for itself. 😉The sanitary building is really modern and clean. You can also get really warm water for showering here.The space is not really big and is ideally laid out. You can't get lost here and the main path is well lit in the evening.With mini golf, indoor swimming pool, table football and restaurant you should actually give it 5 stars.Unfortunately, the spaces are no longer adequate for the size of today's vehicles. We would have expected, especially at a Knaus campsite, that we would know the progress of development here.The mini golf course has its best days behind it. A renewal wouldn't hurt here.All in all, it still deserves 4 stars.

The rooms were surprisingly clean, the staff was quite friendly, the internet... Oh well. So you shouldn't expect reception either from the mobile phone provider or from the house, but that's not what holiday accommodation is for. During the night the bedroom was completely covered in condensation and the windows looked like they had taken a shower. Somehow there wasn't any warm water either. No matter whether it's 10 a.m., 12 p.m., 6 p.m. or 9 p.m. It always came out of the pipe ice cold. Showering was quite an experience. But otherwise there was nothing worth mentioning. Most of it fits and it was nice for a 3 night vacation.

We are not camping fans and after this experiment (with two small children) we weren't.But the campsite was really nice. Very clean and lovingly designed (in every toilet cubicle there are exciting texts about myths and stories of the region). And the team is very loving and hard-working.There is entertainment for the children, barbecue evenings, mini golf, an indoor swimming pool, a playground,... and lots of greenery. It must be very nice there for hiking, but we couldn't do that anymore.

A beautifully located campsite in Walkenried, not far from the monastery.However, it is a bit old.We would have expected more for the price of the comfortable pitch.Very uneven, crooked and rich in roots, plus very soft ground.Very tall grass.The electricity was broken and upon request we had to plug it in somewhere else.In general the place needs more care, lawn weeds etc.Especially in the entrance area.Washhouses are ok.However, 8 toilets, 3 urinals and only one sink is not possible.Showers were ok, the changing room in front was very small.There is no real lunch break there.

We were lucky to find this site as most places were full during this particular weekend in June, the weather was good. We phoned ahead and were told to go to the left on entering the site to the overnight stop which was okay for caravans and had hook ups. However, there was no sign before reception so we carried on round to the left and parked opposite the facilities. On paying the following morning we were surprised at the charge but were informed that we had overshot the overnight area. Our fees were less due to ACSI rates so it wasn’t too costly. This is a large site managed by a friendly Dutch family in lovely countryside surroundings. Good clean facilities with plenty of roomy showers, wash basin cubicles and toilets, separate sides for male and female. The restaurant is next to reception. There is an indoor swimming pool. The bar is behind the swimming pool building. The site is being updated including the crazy golf area under repair. There are good washing up facilities with a fridge and cooker for cycle campers. This is a good site for a stopover passing through Germany.

We spent two nights here and received an exceptionally friendly welcome.The pitches and toilets, showers, indoor pool, playground, actually everything is really very clean and well maintained.Our son had a lot of fun with the entertainment, as well as in the indoor pool (water temperature of 27 degrees) and in the spacious playground.The hiking trails directly adjacent to the campsite also guarantee relaxation, adventure and fun - even for your four-legged friends.The food in the restaurant was delicious and the service was very friendly.All in all, a really nice campsite for the whole family

I don't think you can have a better first camping experience at a campsite.I always had a little respect for hygiene on campsites; you get a certain impression from films and television.Nevertheless, here at this place in Campingpod 1 I have to say, cleanliness 10 out of 10, everything else 10 out of 10, you have so many options to do something there, shower, wash, cook the dishes, just everything :)Of course you can see from the outside facade that the square has been standing for a few years, but you don't notice it from the inside.Recommendation goes out.
