Not a Schikimiki hotel but with an eye on the essentials. Cozy rooms and beds, good breakfast at reasonable prices and friendly and helpful staff are the first and most important things to mention here. Restaurant operations have now been stopped (due to Corona and the Ahrtal flood).The hotel has a rustic charm but is therefore very popular with the guests we met. The owner always has an open ear and chats with his guests and is always available to answer any questions. At breakfast, scrambled and fried eggs can even be made fresh upon request. Otherwise there are rolls, bread, toast, various cereals, fruit, cheese, sausage, jam and Nutella as well as beet juice. Filter coffee or crema, cappuccino or latte macchiato are also offered. Orange juice or multivitamin juice is also available at the buffet. The hotel has been family-run for decades and is the only hotel on site after the flood. Book a room with a toilet and shower in the room for an additional charge of €10. It's also cheaper with a shared bathroom and toilet.Hotel is popular with hikers and cyclists.Church in front of the door takes over the alarm clock 😀

A warm welcome in an excellent hotel. Beautiful location with many walking routes. Owner hospitable and above all thinks along with you. Super breakfast! Highly recommended!

We were there over Father's Day from Thursday to Sunday. The hotel is really very nice, the rooms are clean and the beds are very comfortable. Short note 2 pillows would be better. The owners are very friendly and helpful. There are cold drinks and small snacks in the lounge, where you can help yourself, the prices are completely ok. The breakfast is really very good, it has everything you could wish for. We felt very comfortable and would love to come back.

We were there for the potato pancake buffet. The buffet was quite good and everything was delicious.There were two service people there, one younger and one slightly older. The older one still needs to work a bit on the friendliness aspect.UPDATE:We were (forced) to this restaurant again, and what can I say. It can always be worse.The older of the two women (I assume that's the boss) has become even more unfriendly. Totally normal questions, condescending answers. The guests should/had to sit down differently (as suited the lady) and everything was done in piecemeal. Fortunately, this location no longer exists as a dining restaurant (it was closed on December 27th, 2023). It is only kept as a breakfast room for hotel guests.

Sensational, good home cooking. There is something for everyone. Luckily the map isn't overloaded, just like it should be. Always happy again, can be recommended without reservation. Unfortunately this restaurant is closing at the end of the year 23.

We went here to eat St. Martin's goose.Unfortunately the goose legs weren't crispy because they were covered in sauce. This was very tasteless.Red cabbage was okay and the dumplings were soggy.So unfortunately it wasn't to our taste
