The rooms have hardly changed since 2009, only the prices. For a room in category 5 - 62 euros per day is a proud price. Otherwise very friendly and the breakfast is good. In addition, you are completely central.

You can hear every sound in this 100-year-old house. When you flush the toilet in the room above, you think the water is coming through the ceiling. You can hear when the toilet lid in the room above is lifted and what happens afterwards too. The rooms are very small, the carpet definitely needs cleaning. Shower with curtain. There is no cleaning on Sundays, which isn't a problem if you find out about it. As a result, no toilet paper. The room is not vacuumed during your stay. During our stay, the balcony was renovated and was therefore not usable, and no information about that either.Breakfast was good and Katharina was very friendly and attentive.The price/performance ratio is not right at all.

We have already been guests of Ms. Geiger twice. The very simple, old and sparsely furnished rooms were enough for us to stay overnight. We didn't use the very manageable breakfast buffet. Cheapest sausage and cheese from the pack..We booked again in 2023, this time we didn't get any feedback from Ms. Geiger for days, and then we also had a Corona case in the family. We assumed that our booking request had been completed.As a matter of decency, we wrote Ms. Geiger another email because we didn't receive a real booking confirmation either. We informed Ms. Geiger of our disappointment because she hadn't contacted us for days. Finally we canceled the stay. Then Ms. Geiger suddenly became active very quickly, she threatened us that we would have to pay the amount. Finally she sent her lawyers after us and we had a lawsuit from the Sonthofen district court on the table. Because of 419 euros...I would like to expressly warn you against this accommodation. It is better to pay two euros more and book a reasonable accommodation without furniture from the 70s and, above all, without complaints. Ms. Geiger seems to need it very much...

Since I went to Oberstdorf at short notice, it was the last inexpensive single room and I booked it. Very nice contact even before arrival. I even got a single room with balcony access. Everything is nice and clean, but the carpet urgently needs to be replaced. The house is very quiet and yet right in the middle of the action. The breakfast is very good and extensive. Any request for more coffee or something similar was immediately fulfilled by the young housekeeper. The pension price included all the surrounding cable cars and many buses and I made plenty of use of them. A day bus ticket in Kleinwalsertal (from the border) costs €9.50 and you can then use all lines there. All in all, Oberstdorf is worth a trip and the price/performance ratio at the Geiger guesthouse is very good.

I was at the summer music festival and stayed at the Geigerhaus. It was quite peaceful and clean. The breakfast was completely satisfactory.

The Gästehaus Geiger is a somewhat outdated guesthouse and cannot be compared to a hotel. The central location is an ideal starting point for exploring Oberstdorf and the area, the train station and the center are right on the doorstep. So very narrow streets and limited parking spaces. However, we were lucky and were able to park right in front of the house. The hostess, Ms. Geiger, gave us a friendly welcome and informed us about the house.Our room on the first floor was very noisy and in need of renovation. The carpet under the cupboards was completely gray with a thick layer of dust. The small bathroom made a clean impression. Unfortunately, the toilet was right against the wall so you could hardly sit on it and there was no soap dispenser.Otherwise the room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The lounge and breakfast room is very cozy and inviting. The breakfast was rich and tasty, the selection of cold cuts and toppings as well as muesli, nuts etc. was good.Unfortunately there was no high chair for our little daughter.We wouldn't choose the accommodation again, but we can't advise against it either.

We were there for a week hiking.The boss and the staff were very friendly. GREAT breakfast even after 10 a.m. upon arrival.I can only recommend it, very quiet but central.We will definitely come back to hike there and stay overnight...

The booking and check-in were good and Ms. Geiger and the staff were friendly.The breakfast is buffet style and basically has everything you need.Unfortunately, all of these positive things are ruined by the outdated room and its need for renovation. A thorough cleaning - at least every now and then - would also be recommended.This can no longer be made up for by the good location.

Beautiful simple guesthouse with good breakfast and service can be recommended with a clear conscience.It's a shame that the lights are always on in the corridors and in the hall.You can install lights with motion detectors on the floors, which saves money.Think about it.Oh yes, a soap dispenser would be nice.

Great cozy place to stay, we had B&B, the breakfast was great.
Staff were lovely and gave use free lift passes for the week.
Easy parking and convenient for getting anywhere in town.

The house is very centrally located, yet quiet. Depending on the direction, there is a nice view of the mountains. Parking is a bit adventurous but it worked. Breakfast is very fresh and tasty and the service is very attentive and friendly. Here's another compliment.Unfortunately, our room was very outdated, it smelled strongly, we had neither a toilet nor a shower in the room and we didn't think that was okay, especially since it wasn't mentioned in the description. It was only mentioned that there was a “partial balcony”. We would have wished we had known this beforehand, at 120 euros per night I would expect better standard facilities. Unfortunately, a socket in the room was also out of order, a potential danger for very small children who like to play on the floor and could easily reach into this open gap between the wall and the socket (see picture).
