We were there over Christmas and can attest to the uncomplicated, friendly and absolutely pleasant hospitality! The accommodation (holiday apartment) is great, the connection to the garden/park from the kitchen is ideal for children and four-legged friends. A place to relax and come together! Repeat is planned!!!

At the risk of blowing up all these super duper posts, unfortunately I can't give it five stars.Of course, the location, the ambience and the history, as well as the work that was put into it, all good and right and commendable.I am also aware that in the country you definitely have to make a few compromises or accept some things.Nevertheless, cleanliness and a certain feel-good factor should be expected.Maybe a female “eye for order and cleanliness” is simply missing there.Large windows that reach to the floor are nice, but they should also be cleaned from time to time.The thick cobwebs that actually catch the eye don't have to be there, right on the window, or the ones on the closet, or the ones hanging from the ceiling in the bedroom, or the ones behind the big chest in the living room.The many, many flies in every room, some of which have already died on the floor, are not very inviting either, nor are the partly worn-out seating furniture.However, you should definitely think about investing in fly screens.The next case is the vacuum cleaners, it's nice if you have them and can use them and they're really good ones, but you also have to clean them every now and then, otherwise it's unfortunately of no use.My vacuum cleaner is definitely a lot older and cheaper than the ones there, but it doesn't look nearly as grubby and dirty.Unfortunately, the large communal kitchen is also a case in point, it's well equipped, three refrigerators, stoves, dishwashers, coffee machines... but even there you have to clean both the equipment and the surfaces, otherwise it's all very unsightly and uninviting .And when I find a tray full of someone's old fat in the oven and have to throw it away, it reminds me more of a sloppy student dormitory than of a cozy vacation home.By the way, here too, especially here in the kitchen, the idea of ​​the fly screen again.And even though the place is called Wanzleben, I don't necessarily want to see the little guys running around in the kitchen preparing food.Then there is the actually very nice outside terrace, which is unfortunately not only quite bare but also dirty, the seating is dirty with bird droppings and there were full ashtrays on the tables. Here again there is little feel-good factor.Given all the great reviews, I have to assume that I was just unlucky and was there at the wrong time.Maybe I'll try it again at some point, until then all the best and continued success.

We spent our 2 year wedding anniversary with Christian. The suite was really nice. We felt a little like king and queen.Above all, we enjoyed the peace and quiet; get away from everyday stress.The castle is really beautiful, the rooms are super clean and furnished according to the 'castle feeling'. We love vacation destinations near lakes and rivers.Goals where we find peace, but also the opposite quickly and in a short distance.That was Schleipnitz Castle for us on this holiday.A surprisingly large area with a castle and a beautiful garden with a great population of trees.The month of August we traveled was very sunny so we sat outside for breakfast and in the evenings.It was so beautiful...Our apartment was on the ground floor. From the fully equipped kitchen we reached directly into the garden. Two bedrooms and living rooms are located to the right and left of the kitchen. These are equipped with cupboards, television, single bed, couch and tasteful decorations.Antique pieces of furniture decorate each small room on the upper floor, in which the walls are decorated in different colors and correspondingly colored ornaments adorn the doors of the rooms. That was the wow factor for me, even when I entered the castle.We'd love to come back.
