We have been going to this hotel in the fall for several years now.It was always enough for us. Cozy room, nice staff (we also liked the grumpy man at the reception and had a lot of nice conversations with him!!!) and the breakfast buffet was also delicious.This year we are absolutely thrilled. We IMMEDIATELY noticed the cute Halloween decorations, then the newly renovated outdoor terrace with the new furniture and beach chairs (and the great lamps!!!!). We continued into the room, cozy towels and a large, bright living room.My son slept on the folding sofa and I slept in the separate bedroom. It was so cozy!The next surprise came at breakfast... Delicious rolls, PANCAKES with maple syrup, juice, sausage and cheese platters, different pesto and so on... AND every morning a special treat was offered. Chocolate donuts, muffins, small cakes,...Plus a magically loving staff. My son always grinned when asked if he wanted hot chocolate for breakfast again. These attentions make you feel really good.The location of the hotel also convinces us to book there again and again. It is located away from the village center, but closer to the beach. I always wanted to see how long it took to get from the hotel to the "city", but I never got around to it 😊For the second year in a row we also had a room with a kitchenette. Two hotplates, a refrigerator and a microwave. Suffices! There were also enough kettles, coffee machines, pots and dishes. Everything clean and without any flaws!I also really liked the little “welcome bowl” with instant coffee, tea and sugar 😍.Also new this year is the extended opening hours of the “Coffee & Cake” area and the reception.I think now from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. you can enjoy delicacies like cheese toast, strawberry cake (and what big pieces - you don't need dinner after that!!) and I also mean a cocktail or two.Unfortunately I didn't look at the sauna area this year, I kept putting it off until later, but you could often smell the pleasant (!!!!) smell when you came in!!Maybe next year.The only drawback is the thin walls in this hotel.This year we were lucky and had quiet roommates, but last year I remember the extended family moving chairs and playing catch at night. However, this does not affect the overall recovery and only speaking people can be helped!We'd love to come back next year!

The hotel is located a little outside the town but can be reached on foot in 10 minutes.Staff was very friendly and helpful.Our apartment was large, with a small kitchenette.The breakfast buffet was varied but manageable, unfortunately there were no vegetables.There was no smoke detector in our apartment!We would be happy to come back for one to three days.

Charming hotel with a very family touch.The staff is friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and attentive.The table was lovingly set for breakfast for our wedding day. We would like to thank the Achtert Dieks team again for this. This got our day off to a good start and eased the initial excitement a little.The breakfast also offers everything your heart desires and everything was always fresh. The service staff tried hard to fulfill all your wishes.The rooms are clean and offer what you need. The bed was very comfortable.The bathroom and sanitary facilities are clean and in good condition.We had room 42 with a great view.The hotel has a sauna that you can use. A short registration is enough and then everything is prepared.It was wonderful days with you and we felt very comfortable.

Very nice hotel with good value for money. We stayed here as a family with two children and had a very nice, large room. The hotel has a playground, perfect for children. The breakfast buffet is sufficient, the selection is good and the staff is excellent. Our breakfast fairy Judith was especially a dream. We'll definitely be back.

We really liked the hotel. The room was very clean and also very nice 👍. The staff is friendly, the condition from Hungary who brought us a coffee before breakfast was particularly friendly. The breakfast is rich and good, no frills. It's just under 10 minutes on foot to the town center. A good 6 minutes to the beach. Even though there were a lot of small children there, we didn't hear anything in our room. We would take the hotel again. Was a nice stay.

Quietly located, seems to be both family and dog friendly.I think it's great that you can use the terrace in the evening with your own drinks and food. However, the bar and kitchen in the hotel are closed in the evenings.

**Review for the Strandhotel Achtert Diek on Langeoog****Room:**The rooms at the Strandhotel Achtert Diek are unfortunately disappointing. The furnishings are average and show clear signs of wear. What was particularly annoying was the broken, uneven floor and the sagging mattresses, which made for an unpleasant night's sleep. Our window faced the inner courtyard, where loud conversations between the employees took place every day from 7:30 a.m., which ruined the hoped-for quiet in the morning. The walls are so thin that you can hear all the noises from the neighboring rooms, which is particularly annoying at night. In addition, the quiet times in the hotel are apparently not observed, which further increases the noise nuisance.**Location:**Although the hotel is located very close to the beach and is in a quiet area, the poor architecture (thin walls, creaky floors) makes it completely unsuitable for relaxing. Unfortunately, the background noise in the hotel itself is anything but relaxing.**Breakfast:**The breakfast at the Strandhotel Achtert Diek also leaves a lot to be desired. It only offers a very limited selection and overall seems bland. The cold cuts from the previous day were particularly negative, as they seemed neither fresh nor appetizing. We would have liked much more variety and freshness here.Another point of criticism is that the reception is only staffed until 4 p.m. and everything is locked afterwards. There is no bar or a place to hang out inside - but that doesn't matter because it's far too loud throughout the hotel. You would like to complain personally, but that's not possible if no one is there.As a small family, we will definitely not book the Strandhotel Achtert Diek again and cannot recommend it due to the many shortcomings.

Went for a short vacation on the island of Langeoog. We didn't stay in a hotel, but had a holiday apartment. The apartment was very large and nicely furnished. The location is a little outside, about 10-15 minutes to the town center. Otherwise everything is very good. Staff very friendly. We can only recommend it.

We stayed at this hotel for 4 days with our wedding party and felt completely comfortable. The rooms were clean, tidy and modernly furnished. There was something for everyone at breakfast. It was constantly refilled and we weren't missing anything. The employees were all very courteous and friendly. So everything is great. Thank you for the wonderful time.See you soon, we will come back.

We stayed at the hotel for 6 days at the beginning of June and we were really very satisfied. We had a relatively large room and there was also a safe in the closet that you could use at no extra charge. The room was clean and we also had a good view. The breakfast wasn't bad either. We had enough choice and the staff was also very friendly. If you wanted something else besides coffee, you can let us know and it will be prepared in the kitchen. Finished coffee pots are already waiting outside. The reception was also very friendly and we were even able to stay in the room until 11 a.m. on the day of departure. We would take the hotel again at any time.
