Smile and ventilate! That's our advice ;-)A disgusting smell like that of three-month-old kohlrabi hit us from the crowded restaurant. We decided not to stop, also because the woman who regulated the rush at the front door was extremely unfriendly. Only the location attracts guests to this establishment!

The real highlight is the drive there. The dairy itself is an old, musty shed that has no competition there otherwise it would have had to close a long time ago given the lousy service. Yes, there may be longer waiting times at the entrance, but not about the unfriendly staff. If you work in the catering industry you should be aware that it can be stressful. In addition, only cash is accepted, which is actually absurd these days. The fact that dogs are not allowed in the restaurant is another negative point for us as you then have to sit outside in the wind and rain. It's better to pack food and drink for a picnic in the dunes or on the beach.

In the dairy you can eat and drink good regional products. You can reach the dairy on foot or by bike. Carriage rides are also offered regularly. These trips involve a stay at the dairy. These carriage rides are well suited for people who don't want to ride a bike or walk for a long time. From the city of Langeoog it is a good 9 km to walk/drive.It's worth it.From there it is not far to the east end where there is a bird watching station. If you are lucky you can also see seals.It is advisable to take binoculars with you.

I honestly don't understand the hype surrounding this place. Due to the isolated location, it is of course very busy with a corresponding waiting time for a seat and service. The offer is manageable and neither particularly good nor bad.

We had planned a visit to the dairy on our day trip to Langeoog. When cycling to the east of the island, the Meierei is the ideal place to stop, take a break and park your bike. The outdoor dining area is beautifully situated in the sun with a fantastic view of the Wadden Sea between the island and the mainland. The dairy is well attended and you may share the rustic benches with other day trippers. From a culinary point of view, curdled milk is recommended here; the dairy is famous for it. But there is also light, warm cuisine, cakes and drinks. And the last civilized toilets before the eastern end of the island.

Nicely located at the end of Langeoog. Unfortunately overcrowded at certain times. Still a must if you are on the island. By bike in just under 30 minutes, on foot about 1.5 hours through a wonderful landscape. Fast and friendly service in the cafe. Food and drink offerings are fine and delicious.

On the way from the center of the island to Ostend to the viewing point to the seal beds, you can take a great break in the dairy. There are small and large snacks in a pleasant atmosphere and with very friendly service. We had bockwurst with bread and a fried egg on bread. Both were super tasty and the price was right 👍🏼If the weather is good you can also sit outside, but you may have to wait for a free seat.

The restaurant was quite busy, so you have to wait a while to be seated and it also takes a while to get drinks. However, the view is breathtaking. If you come here by bike, don't expect a seat to be waiting for you.

I can only recommend the dairy to everyone. It is about 10 km away from Langeoog town. You can only reach it by horse-drawn carriage on foot or by bike. 👍👍 We went there by bike and drank beer and ate cake.👍
