At the fishing lodge in Holzhau you can discover that you can drive there. Used, found, and feared. Nice, almost familiar welcome. You got the farmer's breakfast you wanted there. The restaurant was comfortably furnished. There is also a guesthouse in the adjacent building, which is also managed .🤔😃👍

This beautiful place is increasingly becoming a garbage dump and junkyard. It's just a shame...

I used to be here often in the winter, drinking mulled wine or deliciousrechner beer by the warm tiled stove! Unfortunately, the "pub" is becoming increasingly dilapidated and you feel like you're in a junk room. Unfortunately, nothing draws us here anymore...

Simply nice and loving, or simple and loving and “like old times.” We stopped here on a hike and were very happy to have a warm meal, a beer at a good price and coffee. Very relaxed atmosphere and lots to look at and reminisce about. Finally everything is not so perfect, but simple, authentic and good. Thanks & all the best!

In winter you will definitely be happy about a warm room, a mulled wine and a bockwurst. The common Wessi would say, I wouldn't have expected it any differently. It's a shame the location is good too, the environment takes a bit of getting used to, it's a shame that Chata Barbora wasn't open.

Beautiful location in the forest - particularly warm people - great value for moneyYes, the cars aren't a pretty sight - but it's worth not letting that put you off and getting to know the people. We've been coming for a weekend in the winter for cross-country skiing and hiking for years! Rooms absolutely clean and the restaurant quaint.

Special -, more interesting - and viewed from a wide variety of perspectives, beautiful place for those who like to look behind the scenes, recognize the connections and for contemporaries for whom the principle "live and let live" is not an empty phrase.Anyone who tends to look at places, people and situations superficially and primarily from their own perspective and judge them accordingly should stay away. The peat house is not only a guest house and restaurant, but also the center of life of the owners and the agricultural/forestry business, which necessarily also includes appropriate technology! Anyone who is bothered by existing old, i.e. affordable (and paid for) technology and spare parts carriers is completely ignoring cost issues and the question of the economic viability of the overall operation under the given circumstances, along with a few other relevant factors! For me, who generally likes to look behind the scenes for the sake of interest, the “Torfhaus Holzhau” as it is, is in every respect a special, interesting and honest place that I no longer want to miss.I realize my personal demands as far as possible within my own area of responsibility and I am very aware that other realities of life cannot or even do not have to correspond to mine.Summary:In my opinion, the "Torfhaus Holzhau" stands for: honest and humanely open operators, very reasonable prices, wonderful location, cozy rooms, unconventional handling of guests' wishes (whatever is possible is made possible immediately) and for one (personal openness provided) very special place.........

Great accommodation even in summer. Was received warmly and honestly. The room was very clean and very quiet due to its location in the forest. A mosquito net in front of the window would have been cool, but it's just a hut in the forest. The kitchen and bar were run with love, there is a bit of room for improvement but absolutely good and fair for the prices and the location.
