The only good thing was the beds. We were accommodated in the rental office. I had expected something else for the price and 4 stars, which the hotel did not live up to. The furniture is old, the cupboard is stuck and when it's open it smells like mothballs. The sofa doesn't invite you to linger. Spiders were already there too. There is only one hook in the bathroom for the wash bags. The saunais too far away and the route is unreasonable in the evening. With the food, which is carelessly prepared, the warm bread is cold on the inside and there are no egg cups, it's an impertinence. On the second day we sat at a 4-man table because the lecture wasn't cleared away and the 2-man table was too small for us. After we had put our food at the 4-man table, we had to change places. There were enough places available. As a result, we didn't get any coffee from the dark-skinned man. Sit down at the table with usstill guests, because we Ossis like the company. Can't recommend...for the money.

We spent a long weekend at Purschenstein Castle. Why “only” 3*? Unfortunately I have to interpolate these total stars. I took a photo of the first impression of the hotel (photo attached). The condition was more or less consistent throughout the entire hotel 🤷🏼‍♂️ I find it absolutely incomprehensible how one can leave such a figurehead in the entrance to the parking lot...The room (luxury double room) was completely OK - the sauna area was nothing (the description wellness is not justified). The breakfast was also not worth mentioning! From 9:00 a.m. no more scrambled eggs / coffee from a thermos flask - the table wasn't even wiped down on the second day - the chairs are reminiscent of a youth hostel... I can't understand how the hotel got the 4* (possibly given it myself) You can read it on Wikipedia to a 4* hotel: luxury - I can't confirm that! Too bad!!! In the future we will give priority to other enthusiastic guests :-)

The price-performance ratio is good but the castle needs to be renovated. The outdoor area also has potential. But you also have to invest the money!

We had a lovely stay at Purschenstein Castle. Unfortunately, our room wasn't in the main building, but in the small rent office, but that didn't hurt the stay. Excellent cuisine in the restaurant as well as a sufficient breakfast in a great atmosphere. Great praise goes to the very friendly staff.

We were here for the umpteenth time. Always beautiful. Great employees and great service. Small but nice wellness area, where the sauna is also kindly turned on if necessary. The rooms in the castle buildings are also partly equipped with beautiful antique furniture and are very clean. The castle restaurant is particularly noteworthy. The chef knows his craft. Rarely have we eaten so well. Here, regional cuisine meets a modern interpretation (e.g. saddle of venison from our own forests or rack of lamb). Prices are therefore more than justified. So conclusion: The castle is always worth a trip!

The rooms are really very nice, service was very nice. The breakfast could be better. Very reminiscent of the canteen. In general it was very loud and uncomfortable in the breakfast room.
