Great hotel with great staff. Beautifully located with a wide range of offerings, as usual with AHORN Hotels. Very quiet location and really great surroundings. The hotel offers a lot of activities for young and old and there are tons of excursion destinations in the region.

We felt very comfortable. Special thanks to the middle-aged gentleman at the reception. He is good at multitasking.Despite serving the guests at the same time, he handed us the key to the bicycle room without being asked!! Great thanks!

I don't recommend it. If you want to go for a cigarette, there will be a fight that won't let you sleep. The worst hotel I have ever been to.

Buildings not connected to each other! Long walk to the restaurant, sometimes tiring because it's only possible outside!!! Lots of stairs, difficult for disabled people!!!

-Many activities in the hotel for children-great activities that the children can take part in, such as crafts, goat feeding, evening hikes with a campfire and much more... We can highly recommend the hotel. The proximity to Saxony. Switzerland and Prague must be mentioned here.The rooms are clean.The reception is staffed 24 hours a day. All employees are super friendly and helpful. The offerings in the restaurant were good. The portions are really huge😉. We enjoyed the food very much. Thank you for the lovely time. We would definitely like to come back

Unfortunately I have to adjust my recession.Due to an incident. The floor lamp in the room didn't have a cover on the small lamp and my older daughter burned her thumb while adjusting the lamp last evening and got one wiped out. We cooled the injury with a cold cloth. The incident was immediately reported to reception. The nice man immediately apologized and complied with our request for ice to cool down because my daughter was in a lot of pain. Something like that shouldn't happen in a hotel. Why doesn't the lamp have a cover? A no go for a family hotel. The food (buffet) is plentiful and tasty. But the soups could use a little less salt, they were quite salty. At breakfast the dishes were piled up on the table, but in the evening it was easier to clear them away. The service staff was nice and friendly. Unfortunately, the rooms are very noisy. Trampling and shouting in the hallway. I can hear the neighbor's television through the wall in the evening. At lunchtime there is vacuuming and loud chatter from the maids. My 15-month-old daughter was less bothered by it, but I would have liked it Also slept in. The bathroom is tiny, the sink has a crack. We received a new parking number for the third time today. There are always other cars parked there. You pay €14 a day and then you have to deal with it. There's a lot on offer for children. Unfortunately everything (cinema, archery, games room, indoor swimming pool, etc.) is a bit spacious with small children. The playroom for small children needs to be renovated because the plaster on the wall on the left is falling off. The Ahornhotel in Templin promised us more.

We are currently booked into a family room for a week with half board and I can't find anything negative here...The hotel may be in terms of furnishings and also in terms of condition, e.g. in the swimming pool, not the most modern, but everything is clean and tidy!You also always have to keep price-performance in mind and this is really great for that!There is plenty of entertainment for the children. On the one hand, as part of an organized program, on the other hand, through the many opportunities that the children can use both inside and outside.You read some negative comments about the food... yes, there are baked rolls for breakfast, but also 5 types of fresh bread, toast and 4 other types of bread, such as crispbread, rice cakes, etc.I counted 7 or 8 types of muesli and cereals… various jams and also sausage and cheese platters.But also waffles, fruit, eggs, you lose track of all the variety... and if you're complaining here, I don't want to know what your daily breakfast at home looks like...Evening buffet, yes, food from the previous evening is used, e.g. Sauerkraut is then added to Schupfnudeln, warm couscous becomes salad, completely normal, sustainable and not at all objectionable!Every evening, in addition to the salad buffet and the changing meat, fish and vegetarian dishes, there are meat and cheese platters with various types...baquette and various non-typical salads, such as meat salads, potato salad, etc. Here, too, it's hard to keep track of everything Losing diversity...Rounded off by an extensive dessert buffet, semolina, rice pudding, various puddings, jellies, cakes, etc.The only small drawback is that you can make your own waffles at the breakfast buffet. Two new waffle irons with more power would be good here to shorten the production time...We feel completely at home and can recommend the hotel with a very clear conscience!

The hotel is located near the border with the Czech Republic, very quiet and relaxed. The landscape is wonderful. You can simply spend your vacation here. Here in winter it is so nice to go skiing or sledding. There is snow everywhere. The staff are all very polite, friendly and helpful. The surrounding area is also quite beautiful. Fresh air. I just like it

Formerly an FDGB holiday home, now a nice hotel in a green location. Yes, of course you can see the old GDR charm, but that also has its charm. The rooms are well maintained, the waiters are also very hard-working, so you really can't complain. The bathroom is very small, ok for me, but you have to be flexible. Breakfast could be a little more varied, but there was enough. The little buffet was cute for the children. Unfortunately I didn't enjoy dinner. There is a bar, I think it would be nice if there was a small snack there in the evening (only nuts & co). The hotel is a bit spacious. The pools are accessed via a corridor connected to the other building, although I found the outdoor pool more pleasant. Bathrobe 7+20€ deposit. It was a shame that the pool is only 1.30 m deep, the other half is not suitable for swimming as it is even shallower. The small goat enclosure was charming, which was of course a magnet for the little ones. The nice thing is that small free events are offered every now and then, such as: B. Here is a really great magic show with really good tricks. Thank you, Mr. Magician, for that. There is also a small cinema and several options for the children. What really bothered me was that there were smokers in front of the hotel. There shouldn't be a platform for that. There were enough parking spaces, the price difference for parking downstairs (€4) or directly at the hotel (€14) should be minimized. Snacks and drinks are available at reception (not in the room).But I really liked the hotel, among other things. Because it is also a family hotel and the joy of the little ones is passed on to you.

The hotel is particularly large and offers many family-friendly options. The surrounding area is perfect for relaxing and there are always small villages, so the attractions were a bit limited. The food in the hotel was less of a positive surprise.

We are regular customers in the Ahornkette and were in Altenberg for the first time.The food and the leisure activities are extensive and very good. The bathroom is unfortunately very small. The sauna is also compared to the other locations and does not have any other offers such as infusions and loving furnishings. We found our stay relaxing and pleasantand would love to come back. The staff are professional and always helpful and offer very good service. The massage was also excellentWe felt very comfortable.Thank you very much and keep it up!Kind regards from Berlin

Great location, top service and everything you need is there. Small swimming pool with indoor and outdoor pool. Food super tasty and rich. Room great, small but comfortable. The small beer/coffee garden is really nice. We'll definitely be back.
