This is the second time we have been to Haus Zauberberg this year and we have now booked for 2025 as well. The rooms are a bit old, but they are absolutely functional and suitable for a family vacation! The cleanliness of the house is also no reason to complain about it. Barrier-free rooms are also available. The water playground in the house is also suitable for older and smaller children. What stands out very positively is the lived inclusion, especially when it comes to childcare. A Halloween party was organized here, where the children rehearsed a program and each child had their own place within their abilities. Thanks for this! The food is also fresh and absolutely fine! We have two children who never complained about the food during our stay. We adults are also very satisfied. We'd love to come back!

Unfortunately, the furnishings are very outdated, mattresses are worn out, beds are so loud every time you move, rooms have a lot of cobwebs and are generally cramped. But we got fall protection.Playroom consisted more of broken and therefore dangerous toys. We mainly only used breakfast, as lunch and dinner were only edible once for us and the children. Why are there only 1 vegetable, 1 side dish and 1 meat each? Which children eat everything? Without alternatives, this is not possible as a family home at all. Prices for additional drinks were okay.Baby kitchen on every floor, but kettle so calcified and not usable even after asking for cleaning.Water playground itself is warm, but there is a changing room for 3 people if there are around 30 people in the wellness area...Reception and counter service staff very nice and helpful. What a blessing the Allgäu is so beautiful and offers families so many opportunities to leave their accommodation.

The fewer staff there are are super helpful and accommodating. But unfortunately everything is missing during the holiday leisure time. Little offering for children, no offering for families. Few sauna times, no sauna times during childcare times. The food was very small. We are used to something different from other Kolping houses.

Great area!Very child-friendly - family hotel, but the target group is actually children, not teenagers.Room quite sterile (linoleum floor), but ok.Due to personnel reasons, the program has been significantly slimmed down compared to what was announced - among other things, no hikes. Too bad!Meal times very suitable for small children - 8 a.m., 12 p.m. and 6 p.m.The hot dinner announced for day-trippers today consisted of sandwiches and goulash soup - so it was very clear anyway, not very suitable for children and nothing warm for vegetarians.Disappointing - if you plan a lot of day trips over lunch, do you eat Brit and rolls for a week despite having booked full board? Hm.Price-performance ratio overall not convincing.

We are visiting Haus Zauberberg for the first time with our 3 children and we find it wonderful here.Particularly noteworthy are the many community opportunities. There are many different rooms to come together, from the fireplace room to the library to the bar. The group offers also invite you to socialize with others.I particularly love the wellness area, where there is also a great play area for children. I was really positively surprised. The service is particularly friendly and criticism is also addressed very politely. (For example, if you start too early at the buffet) This is certainly not a given. All in all, we feel very comfortable here and have already booked another Kolping House for Easter.

We have been regular guests for over 10 years and spend two weeks there in the summer on a family holiday. For us, Haus Zauberberg is a second home. What we particularly appreciate there is that you can really go on holiday with friends. You get to know other families very quickly and you get to know each other very quickly through activities such as going on hikes together, having a pub quiz evening or doing sports activities together. The performance of the young holiday helpers, who look after the children and young people in groups, but also organize evening activities such as campfires and quiz evenings, is particularly worth highlighting. Every family member really gets their money's worth on this holiday.

Once again a great stay for our family. The proximity to the Alps, the many beautiful hikes on offer, the very friendly and courteous service and the wonderful cooperation of all guests greatly enriched our holiday. The house itself is currently undergoing major renovations in many places, so mini points will be deducted for the rooms (which are still OK). But I'm sure these will also deserve five stars after the renovation.
