Unfortunately, the oldest inn in Rathen has now degenerated into the worst. The waffles in the ice cream cups were sticky and the base of the apple strudel was stale. There was no cocoa for a small child, so we had to make do with hot chocolate from the machine. The possibility of topping it up with cold milk was denied.Stained tablecloths and chairs topped the poor “overall result”It's such a shame, as children we went to the rose garden in Rathen every holiday, but since yesterday we've been avoiding it.

Seldom eaten so badly. Szeged goulash = bad, fatty sauerkraut with 5 flakes of fat in it. Meat/goulash => none. The pasta: Noodles were cooked really soft - they could have been pureed straight away. In terms of taste: it was still edible, but eating good and tasty is something different.Positive: the two waiters were friendly.

The room rating is no longer due to lack of use. Not everyone has such a beautiful view and the delicious food, including dumplings and goulash, is simply delicious. We've probably been here almost 10 times and it won't be the last time.

Danger! Way too expensive for what you get.Before visiting the open-air stage, we wanted to eat warm food.Unfortunately we went to the rose garden without checking reviews.Menu is clear.Service nice.We had schnitzel, fish and noodles.Small portions, nothing special, way too expensive.No recommendation.

Hunger drives it in 🙈 I checked the reviews too late and ate five potatoes with half a pot of herb quark for €15. The beer was cold, the waiter tried hard, that deserves one star.

The food is very good and you have a nice view of the Elbe from the patio. The service is very friendly and accommodating. I can't say anything about the rooms because I was only a guest in the beer garden.

The location would be great if you knew how to use it. The location is fantastic, with a beer garden under large chestnut trees, but totally unkempt. There are roses, but they are barely visible because of the weeds. After more than 30 years of change, one could assume that the sanitary facilities would have been renovated. None... I'm still wondering why I sat down to eat. It wasn't worth it, it was a disappointment across the board. It started with dishes that weren't clean and ended with food that wasn't freshly cooked. It's a shame about this inn in such an idyllic location.

I have to say I am more than disappointed with this restaurant. I've been trying to reserve a table for 6 people for over a week now. Without success!!! When she called me the first time, she said she was on the way and that I should write an email and someone would get in touch with me by Sunday at the latest. No sooner said than done, unfortunately nothing came on Sunday and I called again on Monday where I was more or less brushed off and asked again if I had already written an email. I then said emphatically that I had done this as discussed and there was simply no response, so I should call you the next day between 8:30 p.m. and 9 p.m., you would need every guest! I did this too but no one answered. I'll be honest, I gave up after 2 hours and then I was really fed up. It can't be that you're being held up for so long because of a table. After all, we have to plan our trip! Apparently you don't need it as much as you said on the phone! In any case, we are now going to eat somewhere else where you can order a table directly without spending a week on the phone!!!!

It was our first time there, the rooms were never cleaned, the bedding looked like it had already been used over the bed, there was a leak from the roof, only the stain was brushed over, there was no warm water in the shower for ages, the drain was blocked and it ran forever It wasn't until two days later that there was no kitchen in the evening because the waitresses were home in the Czech Republic and they were very friendly. That has to be said, but I would say that the young man at the reception was totally used, he was also friendly but completely overloaded and he was all alone. The hotel needs to be completely renovated the roof is just a patchwork with tar strips, the location of the hotel is a dream but otherwise not recommended, it's unclean, the garden is totally overgrown, the roses are withering.

We were very disappointed. There was a sign saying it was open until 7 p.m. I asked the servant if that was true. She said I should just sit down, the waiter is coming, it's open. The waiter came and rudely told us that it would be closed from 7 p.m. Yeah, I got up and left again. It could have been said more kindly.

Absolutely embarrassing 👎🏾Apparently all tables were reserved. But we should still sit down. Food tasteless, cheap and completely overpriced for the quality offered. Unfriendly grumpy waiter. Tables would be set to “reserved” so that fewer people had to be served. Toilets and indoor facilities under all... Hygiene is a foreign word here. That's really a pity. The store has so much potential, but it is not being used.

The three of us were here yesterday and I have never experienced such bad food:The side dishes: The ham (cooked ham was molded meat) was cheap, taken from a plastic packaging, the potatoes were not cooked through.My parents' goulash, carelessly prepared, no taste and the dumplings also came from a package and were not homemade.Cooking doesn't work like that at all!!!The waiter was friendly and apologized.Not recommended!
