The nice family from the beautiful Schlaubetal can recommend this guesthouse to everyone, wonderfully located, within walking distance of the Bastei, a wonderful breakfast buffet and a very nice, communicative hotel manager!!😉We will definitely go there again...

Very good price/performance ratio. The location is great, the rooms are simple but very modern and clean (although the shower is more for slim people), the hiking trails to the Bastei are easy to reach, the staff and breakfast were great. There are good restaurants nearby for dinner. All in all a very nice stay.

Cozy hostel for hiking holidays in Rathen. The hotel is modernly furnished, the rooms are small but clean and comfortable. A bit noisy in the direction of the Elbe at night due to the train in the valley. This should be taken into account. The hotel has a very good breakfast buffet. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed on Wednesday and Thursday. The Laasenhof restaurant nearby is no longer recommended, expensive and poor service. You can walk to Rathen in 10 minutes using the stairs. There you will find several options. The Laasen Perle is a good starting point for hikes.

We only stayed one night but it was a very good experience!! The best was the Sauna! And the staff is very very friendly!! Highly recommended!! To keep in mind, yes, to get there you have to climb many stairs hehehe

Beautiful view, very nice and helpful staff!But a bit remote; After dinner you should plan on taking a shower if you're still walking up. Overall we were very satisfied, but the stairs are really a matter of taste and have become a bit annoying for us personally over time ;-)

We stayed in the mountain guesthouse for a hiking week. The colleague at the reception was very friendly from the first phone call right up to the moment on site. The area around the guesthouse is very idyllic and quiet. Rooms modern and clean. Breakfast buffet was very rich, lots of fresh fruit and a very nice colleague who took care of everything.The guesthouse is a good starting point for hikes in Saxon Switzerland.
