We booked a covered wagon ride with 14 people. Without knowing what to expect, we got into the covered wagon. We were greeted by himCoachman, a mix of Bud Spencer and Louis de Funes. During the 3 hour journey we were served jokes and wine every 15 minutes. Food was served at one of the numerous barbecue huts by his lovely wife and great daughter. A kind of pizza meat was served with the homemade salad, very tasty. All in all a 5 star afternoon, thank you Markus. We cannot understand the 3 star rating of Dinkel Dörte.

We were only at the Erich Serwazi winery for a short time but the stay was great. Our room was spacious, nicely decorated and had a balcony facing the vineyards. The breakfast had everything you needed and the hosts were very friendly and accommodating ☺️What was also special was the terrace covered with leaves, where you could have a wine from the self-service refrigerator in the evening.Highly recommended!

Unfortunately, reception left a lot to be desired (based on my previous experiences at other destinations) 😕First of all, we were looked at because I assumed that we didn't fit into the 'Schnapsdrossel' cliché in the area 😅Then, with scrutiny and uncertainty, we asked for the name of the booking (the lady was of the opinion that we were probably with the wrong Serwazi family) and.... Actually and completely unbelievable, the sat nav really led us to the right address 👍(Because of this we didn't really feel welcome from the start)But I also want to be fair and mention the positive thingsThe room was large and spacious, with a balcony, a large, cozy bed, a large shower (unfortunately no shower gel available) and a kettle with tea bags. There was a welcome chocolate on the bed ❤️Unfortunately, on the balcony (which was continuous) there was no separation (perhaps install a privacy screen?) from the other rooms, only the individual chairs served as a separation. The breakfast was very goodThere was everything you need for a good start to the day. (The grape juice is highly recommended)Nevertheless, we will avoid this region in the future, since we don't drink alcohol anyway, we are somehow out of place there and don't really feel comfortable and we can't use superficialities 😜🍾🙈

Update: Accommodating sounds way too distant. Serwazis are simply much more. Friendly, helpful, lovely...just a great host family. I can sign everything else as I wrote it last year (see below).Courteous host family, modern rooms, loving and varied breakfast. Highly recommended.
