We actually planned a nice weekend in Cuxhaven, after we saw the room the weekend was over.The Seestern house doesn't look good from the outside, but inside it was awesome.Room so small that you have to go out when the sun shines in and apparently it did that all day, musty smell and much warmer than outside. There is no way to darken the windows, it's a good thing if you only have the big light then at least the neighbors have something to look at, the bathroom is down the stairs, the toilet isn't cleaned properly and you shouldn't use the bathtub.There was no alternative option, so we left the same day.Thank you very much for the “nice weekend”

Musty, partly ancient inventory, bathroom (outside the rooms in the basement) totally outdated and small. Shower spaky. Outside in the garden it looks completely neglected. After one night (three were booked) we left again. No response from the boss despite the deficiencies. A house right next door is being renovated and construction noise starts at eight o'clock. From our point of view, the Seestern guesthouse cannot be recommended in any way!!!! (Pictures of the defects are available) !!!!! It's a shame that there are no minus stars in the rating!!!! :-(((((((

So the apartment is quite nice, it doesn't look like it from the outside but it is clean and big enough. The only thing that bothered me was that the toilet had a transparent door and was right next to the hallway to the other guest room and there was also a glass door so of course you were always worried that someone would be there.The breakfast was ok but also disappointing. Not a lot of choice (reason: few visitors) I understand that because you don't serve up the table like that. But there was no bacon, no egg etc. There was no refilling either. Conclusion: it was okay and not worth the other reviews, don't worry and make your own impression. Although you have to keep in mind that, as I said, there are few guests here when it's full it will definitely look different.

This place doesn't work at all. The rooms are terrible. Here it looks as if the owner was thrown out of his house and some rooms were converted into guest rooms. Trash can is completely missing. Half of the facility has notices saying please do not use it, this includes the bathtub. Guest toilet with shower is about 1 square meter in size, the sink is as big as the sink in a guest toilet, so you can't even fit your hands in it. Next door not lockable. I'm not used to much, but this accommodation is absolutely not possible. Here you can pay €20 per night for an overnight stay just to have a roof over your head. It's definitely not worth more. A lady at the reception who was extremely unfriendly explained to me after just 5 minutes that I didn't have to pay the tourist tax to her, but then I would be reported to the city. That was the answer to my question about where I have to pay the tourist tax. After about 30 seconds you went straight to du. I've never experienced anything like that. All in all, even this one star is too much.

House Starfish. Oh well. 6 people, 3 rooms in this modest house... The rooms are much too small, you have to be careful not to load in the toilet when you leave the shower. Simply not enough for the price.Breakfast was included, which was ok, but the service could have refilled the jams... that didn't even happen in the hour we were there... while we were having breakfast there, people were washing up at the counter next door Volume level that disturbed breakfast.The house itself had a front entrance and a back entrance to which we didn't have a key! The back entrance was open the whole time! So someone could have walked into the house at any time...The courtyard of the house looks a bit desolate because there is a broken lantern there that is right at the entrance to the house.For €130 per person it's just way too expensive.
