We had dinner here last night and were lucky enough to get a table spontaneously. We love the food and the friendliness towards dogs! Dogs are even offered water here ❤️, which unfortunately rarely happens in Duhnen! The steak and fish plate were very tasty.We'd love to come back.

I always enjoyed eating here when I was still a regular spa guest in Cuxhaven. I've now moved here and am a Cuxhaven resident. I think I ate there for the first time yesterday. Since I've been in the north, I've loved herring in all variations, and since Nord Stuv offers herring made in-house, I couldn't avoid eating herring with fried potatoes. Before that, a wedding soup, which always works, the quality of the broth has never changed in the time I was a guest there, dark, hearty, slightly sweet - extremely delicious. The matjes came in pairs and were already visually impressive. If you like herring in general, I wouldn't even say with certainty that you'll like them, because they're different than anything I've ever eaten before, they're clearly homemade. If you don't like the shaggy nature of herring in general, this is the place for you. The surface of the fish is smooth and doesn't have the mushyness that sometimes occurs with herring. The consistency is much firmer than matjes from the fish shop or supermarket, you have to cut it and chew it, which I really liked. The taste is also something completely different than what you are familiar with, hearty, simple, a good, honest taste. Served with just a few red onion rings, it's really a feast for purists, this thing isn't flooded with housewife sauce, but stands on its own - bravo! I like the shop. The service was always quite friendly, and Jever on tap and the other beer specialties that are available there are also a great thing. I can also highly recommend the plaice and butter plate.

We eat at Nord-Stuv every time we are in Duhnen.The boss looks pretty tight-lipped, but she isn't. 😉As always, the food was delicious and the seating area was clean.Thank you for the nice hospitality 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

We came here without a reservation and just ate. We were also lucky and got a seat on the terrace. The terrace is protected from the wind and is very comfortable with beach chairs. The server, presumably the owner, seemed a little stressed but was otherwise polite. Unfortunately, the food was mediocre: the fish was really tasty, but the fried potatoes were too fatty and I would have liked some sauce with the vegetables. I had my dish changed and wanted vegetables with the fish, which is what I got... but simply boiled "without anything". However, I didn't dare to ask for sauce anymore. Compared to other restaurants, the price-performance ratio doesn't match and you can eat better in town for less.

Whenever we are in Cuxhaven, a visit to this restaurant is a must. The fine fish platter for 2 people is just as delicious as the Helgoland fish platter or other fish dishes 🤤

It was our first time in the Nord Stuv. We can only recommend the restaurant. Fish and fried potatoes were very good and the crepes for dessert were simply great.We'd love to come back.

Unfortunately, we were only in the hotel for 4 days, but we were thrilled with the service and the rich breakfast. The access to the parking lot is narrow, but a minibus can also fit through easily. There is also a nice restaurant with good cuisine in the house. We will definitely come back

We had a very good meal here again today. Inside the restaurant because of the weather. Unfortunately we were greeted by the boss? / Employee indirectly “asked” to pay / leave. While we were still sitting with our drink, the tables right next to us were being rearranged for breakfast and filled with dishes and other things. It was very disturbing and loud. We don't think that's appropriate at all at 8 p.m. when the restaurant is open until 9 or 9:30 p.m. and is annoying your guests. It's a shame, otherwise a recommendable restaurant.

Very poor accessibility. Landline call without success. There was no reply to email, only the answering phone call. A call was made, but a reservation was not possible. You should just come by. Restaurant opening at 5:30 p.m., by 5:35 p.m. the restaurant was already full.
