Cottage in the Spreewald

A great house with everything you need in a beautiful location.We are 2 adults and 2 small children. We made the journey a little adventure. The location was perfect for us. And according to the description you also know that the house can only be reached on foot or by boat.The location in the middle of the forest and right on the water is of course great for anglers and little explorers. Adult bicycles, a boat and 2 barbecues are also available.The house is beautifully and lovingly furnished and was very clean when we arrived. Many thanks to the cleaning staff.We had a great time and would definitely like to come back.

We had a wonderful holiday here. It's as beautiful as it looks, if not more beautiful :). Why go to Venice when the Spreewald canals are so romantic ;)? Paddling on the rivers or waterways right next to the house is a great experience. Our children, equipped with safety vests, also really enjoyed it. The house is a refuge on a peninsula, well equipped (in the kitchen you will find everything you need for cooking and baking, there are even four bicycles, an in-house canoe for paddling, even life jackets, water hiking maps, board games, etc.). Very friendly written contact with the landlords. All in all perfect - but the house is often fully booked up to a year in advance...

We treated ourselves to the property for a week. The price is a bit demanding considering that the journey is very difficult. We ourselves arrived on bikes and two canoes. In the end, everyone has to know what they are taking with them. I would definitely like to mention at this point that this property is absolutely not for people who are not good on foot. My mother has a lung disease and it takes a lot of effort to get her onto the property. I don't even want to talk about buying food under the circumstances when the guests are older students. Shops are two or five kilometers away. But when you're finally there and the day guests on the rivers have left, it's really very quiet and very beautiful. The house is well equipped and has everything you need. It's just a shame that there is no WiFi in the house. The internet is also very problematic depending on the provider and I think that should currently be standard.The Weber grill provided by the provider is also really great. Unfortunately, it was rather carelessly maintained by other visitors. After a basic cleaning on our part, it was then ready to be used.I would also suggest that the directions that you receive in the mail in a timely manner should be revised again using today's means.Excursions include the rivers or bike tours, the open-air museum, the cucumber museum or the boat trips from 1.5 hours to 9 hours. But that was it. This should be taken into account if you want to vacation there with children.Conclusion: once you've settled in and have everything you need on site, it's a really nice place to relax after 4 p.m.

Very cozy and peaceful, except when the barges with visitors come by. But you know, it can also be very funny.

Very nice house. Super idyllic location. Only accessible on foot or by boat. Pure relaxation 😊😊

A wonderful house: well thought out and very well equipped, well maintained and clean and in a great location, especially for paddling tours in all 4 directions. We would love to come here again.

Centrally but quietly located, great house.

We had a wonderful week in the lovingly furnished house. Every morning the ducks came and waited for their breakfast. The "Spreegurke" invites you to go on tours, which for us only progressed in a zigzag way🙈.

It was very nice for a short vacation and I can only recommend it...but you shouldn't forget the mosquito spray😉😉😉

We were able to spend five wonderful days on this property and would recommend it to everyone. Nature lovers who like beavers, ducks and woodpeckers can welcome them directly on the property.
